Scenic views of the Finger Lakes are a best kept vacation secret and the Spur provides you with a perfect setting to enjoy a couples getaway on the East side of Seneca Lake. Cozy, private cabins with one bedroom & bathroom are tucked away on a quiet road, just a few miles from wineries, breweries and waterfalls. Enjoy breathtaking sunsets and lake side fun with kayaks, paddle boards, dock for lounging and campfire pits. 2 night stay for weekends. Two adults only per cabin.

The space
Private Accommodations:
The cabin has a queen bed, small table and stools, bathroom/shower, wifi, TV w/Roku, air conditioner, ceiling fan, heat, small refrigerator, microwave, drip coffee maker/coffee, linens, towels, hair dryer, wine glasses, corkscrew.
Each cabin has a deck with chairs and lake view. The cabin is cozy and does not have an indoor "sitting area". Instead, the Spur offers beautiful outdoor spaces to relax and enjoy including a lakeside screened-in gazebo to enjoy a meal, quiet reading time or fun card game.

Shared Space:
Lakefront:
There is over 100 feet of beach front with a large dock and lounging chairs. The lake front has a horseshoe pit, picnic table and campfire pit. Please review photo of staircase to lakefront.

Campfires.
Campfire wood and starting supplies are NOT provided. There are two campfire areas, one on the beach and the second next to the cabins. Please follow house rules to extinguish fire when done and do not leave fire unattended.

Lake equipment.
There are six kayaks and three stand up paddle boards for guest use along with required life jackets. Guests are required to read and follow lake safety rules posted next to the equipment.

Cooking/Eating area:
The Spur has limited cooking accommodations. It does NOT have a fully equipped kitchen. Each cabin has its own outdoor gas grill, utensils and grilling space. I do not provide grilling cookware. Each cabin has a small frig and microwave, a small indoor table and outdoor table for guests to eat on. Guests are also welcome to eat in designated shared space where there are tables including the gazebo (see photos), a deck and the dock.

Location:
For vacation fun on the Finger Lakes, it's great to have options, and the Cabins on the Spur are perfectly situated. Over 25 wineries, breweries, distilleries and unique restaurants with locally grown organic produce are located within 10-15 miles. Many venues offer live music at night and scenic views of the lake and vineyards. My home is also on the property and I am available to provide recommendations for things to do based on your interests and schedule.

Other daytime activities include hiking on easy and challenging trails along gorges to view breathtaking views of waterfalls. A public golf course is nearby and the Corning Museum of Glass is an easy drive.

The Spur is just two miles of off Route 414 - the main, very scenic lake road for wineries, breweries and restaurants. The drive from 414 to The Spur is a beautiful, slightly windy road that will make you feel like you are truly away and in vacation mode! The Spur is also located about a mile south of Lodi Point State Park - a lovely walk, run or bike ride along a flat lakeside road. The Park literally juts out into Seneca Lake and when you stand on the end point, you feel like you are almost in the middle of the lake with amazing Southern and Northern views.

For me, sunsets are an important and special part of life and to know that I can enjoy them just about everyday is wonderful. My search for the best sunsets brought me to the Spur on the East side of Seneca lake. Having grown up in the area, I am fortunate to have enjoyed many sunsets along with other wonderful views of the Finger Lakes. So perhaps my quest for the best sunset continues and I recommend that you start with one on The Spur. I promise you will be impressed!

During your stay

Having grown up on the East side of Seneca Lake, I returned to the area and searched to find the perfect location which I found at the Spur. I love the area and am always happy to provide recommendations to help others enjoy it as much as I do. I respect space and quiet time of my guests. The separate, private cabins make it easy for guests to come and go as they please.
