Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States

The house is on a small, quiet, residential street in Center City Philadelphia. A two block walk brings you to South Street, the first of many close-by streets with coffee shops, restaurants, convenience stores, gift shops etc.
Historic and cultural attractions are all within walking distance.
During summertime there's an outdoor public swimming pool right around the corner from the house.. open to all.

More specific neighborhood Info:

When you walk out the front door you can go left to 17th St, then turn left to head north towards Center City:
The first traffic light (about 3 blocks up) is South St, there’s a 7-Eleven on the corner. Turn right and there are many restaurants along the next three blocks of South St. On the 1500 block of South is Quick Fixx – great take-out food (salads, pizza, pasta) that you can order and walk over to pickup. Most of the other restaurants are eat-in but have take out options as well.

Right out the front door and right onto 18th Street towards Center City:
-About 3 blocks up 18th St. from Webster, the first traffic light is South St. Turn right on South St. and there’s a parking garage immediately on your right.
-There’s a Walgreens on the corner of 18th and South Streets. The nearest coffee is on that corner as well.
-Continue down 18th another 4 blocks to Rittenhouse Square, a beautiful park surrounded by shops and restaurants along 18th St and Walnut Streets. On Saturdays from 10 AM to 2 PM there’s a terrific farmers market along the square on Walnut St.

-Nearest supermarket is Sprouts and there’s also a Liquor/Wine Store and Target in that shopping center. … Left out the door and turn right on 17th, down three block and turn left on Carpenter (on that corner is L’anima, a wonderful Mediterranean-ish restaurant). Walk up two and a half blocks and the shopping center is on your right between 15th & Broad Streets.
