This is a cool, clean, spacious (90 squ. m), comfortable and fully equipped apartment on the ground floor of a villa in the middle of a large olive orchard which is situated approx. 4 minutes (car) from the city center and 1.000 m from the beach. It is close to the bus stop (600 m) supermarket (500 m away), bakery shop and a 10 minute walk to the beach or 2 mins by car. We would be happy to accomodate you and yours and help you enjoy your stay in Kalamata. We love children!

The space
The apartment is a two bedroom with a kitchen connected to the living room area. There is desk space in the larger bedroom and spacious closets, as well as a Kettler machine, outdoor basketball court and a regular sized ping pong table for our guests that like to keep up with their exercize while on holiday!

Kalamata is a special place to visit. It is a city which combines a back drop of the breathtaking “Kalathi” mountain and the never-ending picturesque beaches of the Messinian Bay and where the cultivation of olives for the production of extra virgin olive oil and Kalamata table olives is one of the oldest of the organized agricultural activities associated with the economic growth, the culture, countryside and people of the area. The long history of olive cultivation spans many centuries, which has made it an important part of Greece’s national heritage and economy. Not only is it a port city built right on the water’s edge of the Bay of Messinia with beautiful beaches on the foothills of Taygetos Mountain, it is also in very close proximity (day trip) to four (4) archaeological sites on the UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE LIST which are: Archaeological site of Ancient Messene (tentative list), Archaeological Site of Mystras (Sparta), Temple of Apollo Epicurius at Bassae, Archaeological Site of Olympia, look at (URL HIDDEN) It is also near many other beautiful and famous places to visit. On the other side of the mountain and a short ride away is the famous city of Sparta and the home of Leonidas as well as the area of Mani and its famous and picturesque towers!
