This is our cottage on Lake Kawigamog. It is about 3.5 - 4 hours from Toronto and, although that seems a long drive, it is so worth it. It is a little piece of paradise on earth.

The space

Where you’ll be

Ontario, Canada

We are half way between Parry Sound and Sudbury so both locations are a great day trip if the weather is not sunny.
Parry Sound has a lovely walking path along the bay, some great restaurants, boat cruises and local shopping. There is Sobey's just off Hwy. 69. There are several gas stations around and it is a 50 minute drive north to the cottage from Parry Sound.
Sudbury is north of us. One the way there walking trails along the French River or even in Grundy Park. The French River Trading Post is a fun location to stop and have a look around or have food or even just an ice cream. If you are lucky you might see The Blueberry Hound. There is the French River Golf course just off the highway. Further north there is mini putting. Sudbury has Science North, Lake Ramsey (a great walk), the Big Nickel and mine tour and restaurants and shopping. It is an hour north depending on construction but you might see a moose or deer, you will see one of the animal bridges or you can wander down one of the side roads and walk a trail.
