1882 Colonial Villa set in a beautiful old garden. This private self-contained apartment is ambient and peaceful located 8 minutes from town and 8 minutes from the airport.

This private apartment has its own entrance and car park with 1 bedroom queen bed ,open kitchen and dining room and a bathroom with a shower, separate bath and washing machine. There is also a swimming pool available. The open kitchen and lounge opens out onto a wee courtyard with your own private garden space.

The space
My home is an 1882 colonial villa set amongst an old established garden. My family has been in this house since it was built.

The airbnb is in part of the old house, it is self contained, and is completely private for you. You have your own entrance, wee courtyard and a carpark just outside.

The bathroom has a lovely big bath, separate shower and a washing machine if you need one. There is also an outside clothesline.

There is a queen bed in a quiet room. The open plan kitchen and dining area give you a cosy and spacious feel. Colonial doors open from the kitchen and dining area to give a view of the rose garden.

Your breakfast will be continental and will be found in the pantry in the kitchen ready for you. If you are staying more than one night then breakfast can be delivered to you the night before. The continental breakfast will consist of bread/toast, choice of spreads, choice of cereals, museli, there will also be a can of peaches or something like them. Milk, tea and coffee will also be available. Please let me know if you would like gluten free bread .
Blue top milk supplied , let me know if you require trim.

A swimming pool is available in summer and the garden is open to walk around. Also the Cameron Blockhouse (one of New Zealand's Historical Places) is open to view.

I have culinary herb products for sale, and the herb nursery is open to walk around. Please excuse the odd weed. If you are interested to see my herb products then dont hesitate to ask.

I am about a 7 minute drive from town so a car is useful.

I have waterfeatures in my garden therefore this may not be a suitable place for toddlers.

No smoking inside, no events or partys.

Pop parking available.

A single bed can be added for an extra $20
The Te Araroa walkway is reasonably close.
There are many things to do/see in Whanganui. This includes great glass artist's studios, art gallery, museum, observatory, riverboat and a lovely walk around the river via the bridges. There is also a tower which provides an amazing view of Whanganui (this is to name a few).

The Saturday morning market is not to be missed with great food and locally made produce, crafts and art. I have a stall there every Saturday. The main street has been beautifully decorated with hanging baskets and numerous coffee shops and restaurants. Virginia lake offers lovely walks. There is plenty going on.
