Where you’ll be

Clyde, Otago, New Zealand

Clyde is an old gold mining town on the banks of the Clutha river dating back to the 1860s. It has quite a few historic buildings. The village has variety lovely restaurants cute stores and a cinema. It's the start or finish of the Otago Rail Trail, cycling around here is a must. There is a small supermarket 400 meters up the road which has everything you need food wise. There are a range of restaurants and pubs such as Paulina's which has South American influence. Also included in the town is a cinema, art galleries, gas station and bike shops. Clyde embeds the History of the area as it used to be an old mining town. There are still many small historical artifacts and architecture that will send you back in time as well as a museum open in the summer.
