In the basement of our home, we have 3 private rooms, as well as a shared sitting area, kitchenette, and private entrance.

The space
Valley Mountain Ranch is an active hobby farm, and our B&B is situated in the fully finished, well-appointed basement area of our home. It's cool in the summer, and cozy and warm in the winter, with a wood-burning stove in the shared guest area. Your bedroom has a private bathroom, and we also offer a kitchenette (no stove or oven) that is shared with other guests. If you'd like to explore our property, we have horses, a donkey and chickens. We have three dogs, two barn cats and two cats who live upstairs with us. There are wide open spaces and fresh air. You can walk to town, or for a hike around the ranch. Looking east, you see the Rockies. South, you see the Monashees, and right behind us, to the west, are the Cariboo mountains. There is a lot of wildlife in our area, so if you are lucky, you might see: moose, bear, deer, lynx, bobcat, cougar, wolf, coyote, owls, eagles, hawks, as well as a wide assortment of little birds and critters.

We live in a rural neighbourhood, about 2km from town. We welcome you to enjoy the peaceful space around our property, and also encourage you to visit our village and experience some of the local attractions and businesses like 3 Ranges Brewing Company, The Gathering Tree Coffee Shop/Eatery/Gift shop, Valemount Mountain Bike Park, Valemount Swiss Bakery, Mount Robson Provincial Park, Valemount Visitor Information Centre, Rearguard Falls (watch the migrating salmon jump up the falls (seasonal)), Whitewater Rafting on the Fraser River, Kinbasket Lake, local hikes, and so much more!

We are Dan and Riette, and we are your hosts at Valley Mountain Ranch B&B. We welcome you to our hobby farm, where we enjoy hanging out with our horses, donkey, dogs and cats. Riette was born in Holland, and can still speak "n beetje" Nederlands. :) In the summer months, you're welcome to join us around the campfire in the evenings, and in the winter months, we welcome sledders. You can access many trails directly from our property, on horseback, bicycle, dirt bike or snowmobile. There are also many amazing hiking horseback riding and mountain biking trails for all levels, just a short drive from the ranch. If you're traveling with your horse, we can help with overnight boarding. We came to Valemount in 2006 from the Vancouver area, to raise our kids in a friendly country setting, and to enjoy a more laid-back lifestyle. When you stay with us, we offer you the same friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
