This beautiful traditional style house is available to rent. It is set in large landscaped gardens and comes with a resident caretaker/watchman. 10 mins walk to Abene's beautiful beach and close to shops, restaurants and the village centre. A minimum of one month would be ideal. Sleeps up to 6-8 people.

The space
The house has a large open plan lounge which is furnished with divan sofa, individual armchairs, coffee table, dining table and chairs. There is an open plan kitchen with gas cooker/oven and plenty of storage space and work areas.
The entire property is eco friendly with solar energy and a very large permaculture styled garden. It is an ideal retreat . There is a well with pump to water storage tank and running water on the land for irrigation and to the house. There is an indoor and out door toilet and bathroom.
The garden is vast and includes large permaculture beds and well established trees and shrubs many of them are fruit trees.

The minimum period to book entire house is 1 months the maximum period is unlimited. Therefore this is ideal for those who may be looking for a home for an extended period. I would be happy to negotiate a rental price for extended an stay.

Where you’ll be

Abéné, Ziguinchor, Senegal

Nature and wildlife is all around. The area is conveniently close to the beach (a 10 minute walk) and is very peaceful. The village shops and restaurants are within walking distance but far enough to guarantee tranquility.

I am an honest, open and considerate person. I moved from Bournemouth, England to the Casamance area of Senegal in 2009 where I settled first in a very small and simple village called Ndongane. Here I involved myself in various development projects. Since 2013 I have made Abene my home and live with two girls from the village. I try to live my life by treating others as I myself would hope to be treated and love to promote pure and good living.
