Base 2’s Cabin in the Woods is totally off grid and boasts walk-in access only (5 minute walk). Light is from candles and propane lamps and the bathroom is an outhouse!

The space
Our Cabin in the Woods was designed and built for people looking for a unique, private and nature-interactive experience. Our cozy Cabin in the Woods provides all of the comforts of home. Our picnic area, outhouse, private cook fire-area and wild nature trail (previously used as dogsled trails in the winter) are close by for your convenience. The cabin also comes with a private screened in gazebo for mosquito protection. Our main goal is to provide you with a comfortable yet exciting experience you will never forget!

PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING:
Our cabin is off-grid and has NO ELECTRICITY. Light is by battery/propane lanterns and candles, cooking is done on a propane stove.

Kitchen:
Cooking is done on a propane stove in the kitchen and all kitchenware and amenities are provided. As all our units are off-grid, this means that the fridge provided in the cabin is NOT plugged in to electricity. If you wish to store food and drink in a cool place during your stay, we therefor recommend that you bring ice with you to use in the fridge along with your food.

Bathroom:
The toilet is located in a separate outhouse and may be used by other guests staying at the Base. Please note we DO NOT have shower or bathing facilities.
