The Eagle’s Nest road is open. High clearance vehicles preferred. The location is ideal for getting off the grid and enjoy private trails for hiking, biking, xc ski and snowshoe.
It has gorgeous views and seclusion; it sits on about 9 acres at 9,000 ft. It overlooks the valley below and the Medicine Bow mountains to the east.
Winter parking is 150 yards below the cabin.

The space
The cabin is very clean and cute, recently updated with all new beds and decor making it feel very homey and comfortable. It has lots of windows to enjoy the gorgeous views, as well as a viewing deck on the back patio. The kitchen is ample and well equipped.
There are three rooms in total--Bedroom, Main Room, Kitchen. The beds in the far room are bunk beds--one double with a single over the top. The main room offers two single beds stacked for extra seating when not in use. Unstacked they can be used as either a king bed or two twins.
The wood burning stove is the main heat source along with an electric plug in heater, which is ample for the cabin. We supply the wood for the indoor wood stove. Unlimited WiFi.
Our cabin is a dry cabin--although there isn't running water, we do supply potable water.
The bathroom listed is a compost potty house, which is adjacent to the cabin.
The shower-house is a short distance from the cabin and is shared with other cabins.

You step out your door and you are "there". You will love the remoteness and the views. Wildlife abound. Moose, elk, deer, pronghorn, bear, fox, marmot, raccoon, squirrel and many species of bird from the hummingbirds of summer to the rosy finches of winter.
Check for wildlife before letting your dog outside. Thank-you for respecting the creatures here.
