A secluded, unique, warm, welcoming, clean and sunny place, high on a hill with amazing views over mountains and river, to relax and put your feet up. This space is a private loft area, with two bedrooms rooms, 1 bedroom with 2 single beds and private bathroom with bath and shower, with a cosy sitting area with fridge/tea facilities, ideal for a single person or two people traveling together.
The log burning fire keeps the house cosy in the winter.
Includes a healthy/ farm cooked breakfast.

The space
Hidden in the hills, over looking the Kahurangi National park Tasman, and the Motueka River for fly or spinning fishing for Brown trout, we also have a fish gutting area. A Farm house with a clean bright roomy twin Bedroom with 2 single beds that zip together to make a queen, a second floor private mezzanine, table & chairs, small reading area with book case, bathroom with bath and shower, fridge, tea & coffee facilities. Ideal for solo travelers, friends traveling together or couples.

Our place sits high on a hill with a long winding road, in a unique Valley, with picture perfect views over both the river and mountains, surrounding Fruit orchards and Hops, great fresh water swimming, fishing for famous brown trout, tramping, ideal for painters, photography, writers and folks that just want to be one with nature.

Hi I am jan your host, I live here with my husband Damon and daughter. At the moment in the house we have 3 small breed dogs, poppy our residential rug rat and two rescue dogs Cruz a 15yr papillon and gizmo a mountain chihuahua. Out side we have peacocks,peahens and their babies, sheep and lambs, goats and kids. Our place is hidden high on a hill above the road over looking the kahurangi National park and the mount Arthur range of mountains, The Motueka river which is infamous for fishing brown trout, you can get to us via our farm track that takes you off the main Motueka Highway winding up hill to the top, we’re you can take in all the views Motueka valley has to offer. Your accomodation is a 2 bedroom private loft with full bathroom, a queen room and a room with two single beds which can be zipped together if needed. A sitting and reading area table and chairs, Tea/coffee facilities, jug kettle and wee fridge. Outside there is a gas oven and a gas bbq for your convenience. Surrounding our area we are lucky to have - Abel Tasman park, Kaiteriteri beach, Marahau water taxis . Rabbit island a wonderful drift wood beach, even Rainbow Mountain for skiing is not to far.

During your stay

Always around to help with trips or information, i have brochures of the surrounding area, we are on the Tasman's great taste trail you really need to come for more than a 1 night sleep over. Family's welcome. swimming in the river if you get here late afternoon ( not to late or the sand flies bath then ha). fishing in the Motueka River, Brown Trout, and an outside fish gutting area.
