Hayts Chapel, on a beautiful and private half acre has a large open space with hardwood floors, high ceilings, partitioned bedroom, full bathroom, and kitchen. Large old windows with wavy glass let in tons of light, but insulated attic keeps it cool. Outdoors has an eating area, stone fire pit, and plenty of parking. Close to downtown, gorges, wineries and u-pick farms, this quiet setting with relaxing ambiance is a wonderful space for a home-base while visiting Ithaca and the Fingerlakes!

The space
Yes! All pets are welcome (okay, if you want to bring a goat we might need to talk about it first).

INSIDE

High ceilings give this unique "house" a lofty feel. Plenty of floor space can allow for up to 5 guests total with the addition of an air mattress. A bedroom partition houses a comfortable queen bed and space to hang your clothes. A room dividing screen adds extra privacy for a full size bed in the open space.

OUTSIDE

Stone fire pit with chairs and tables, tiki torches and string lights set the ambiance. Small herb garden to use in cooking (seasonal). Bordered by woods and a ghost-free graveyard.

I came to Ithaca to study plant-microbe biology at Cornell, and fell in love with the town. In addition to a scientist, I am also a violinist and tango dancer, and a regular "Laura Ingalls", as a friend once said. I keep rabbits, chickens, and bees, and love to garden. I greatly enjoy traveling, and when I go, I always try to visit the people as much as the sights, and thus am happy to accommodate travelers in a reciprocal fashion!
