You’ll love the place because you will enjoy the real African way of life - Private accommodation for backpackers, B&B, on the outskirts of Dar es Salaam. Eazy’s Place is a private initiative of Xenia and Bernd Riebe (Germany) in order to support young people in Tanzania to build their own business and is another approach to help people to help themselves. Eazy, over the years, has become a dear friend to us who has proven many times that he is capable of leading a successful business.

The space
Backpackers, Travellers, Tourists -
If you are looking for a place to stay in Dar es Salaam away from the hustle and bustle of the city center,
if you are tired of the usual standard of low budget hostels and hotels and not willing to spend a fortune at the big hotels,
if you wish to experience the private and exotic atmosphere of Tanzanian everyday life –
then you are welcome at Eazy’s Place.
Staying at Eazy's Place is nothing for just one transfer night, staying here for several days means enjoying a kind of unique vacation.
One of our rooms is specially designed for women travelling alone, as there is a private bathroom attached while the other room's bathroom is a bit separated from the traditional African style hut.
Free airport transfer if you stay longer than 3 nights! Your host Eazy Mjema has worked as a tour guide for several years and has become a well known artist. Some of his unique batik artworks are created in his workshop on his plot and you are invited to watch him creating his batik fabrics. You can even take courses on making this unique batik art. Last but not least he is an excellent cook serving traditional local meals for dinner and breakfast

Where you’ll be

Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

The area around the Guest House is still rural however developing fast as more and more people move out of the crowded city center to build houses here. There are already several small shops providing food, drinks and fresh vegetables and fruit.

During your stay

As Eazy studied at the Bagamoyo Art College he knows the area very well and is acquainted to many local artists. He also knows a lot about the history of the town Bagamoyo which in Swahili means “Lay down your heart” alluding to the age of slave trading. There are many historical buildings and sights to discover. Eazy will lead you to the famous Bagamoyo College of Art, the German cemetery, around the well preserved houses and the old church dating back to the colonial area. Eazy could also introduce you to some local artists such as painters and wood carvers. You can either walk or hire a bicycle. After this historical and cultural experience there will be enough time to enjoy the beautiful Bagamoyo Beach.
