EI is great for swimming, biking, boating, fishing or just relaxing. East side of duplex home. Must be 25 years or older to book our home.

The space
We are the east side of a beautiful duplex home, but with all-private decks and a spacious side yard, it feels like a single family home. Our kitchen, dining and central living space on the main floor all have a panoramic view of the ocean - washing dishes is never fun, but it's a lot nicer with a glass of wine and a view of the waves! :) Our space is fully stocked and we make improvements every year so that return guests can enjoy our space as much as we do. Outside, our private decks have lots of options for comfortable seating, from dining al fresco to tanning to gently rocking with a cup of coffee in the morning, watching the sun. We've also got an outdoor shower so you can lather, rinse and repeat with the ocean breeze on your skin (or just wash down the kiddos to keep sandy bottoms to a minimum). Our side yard is great for grilling or playing cornhole (while again, still getting to take in the beauty of the ocean!).

Our home is ocean front on a quiet neighborhood. We are just a hop, skip and a jump past the bridge coming onto the island, so it's a *very* short drive to our neighborhood (which might not sound significant, but you'll be happy to not be driving all the way down the island during check-in traffic!). We're a short walk or bike ride away from food, shopping and groceries, and there's a lovely bike path that runs across the island right up the street. Our neighborhood is peaceful and beach front tends to be quiet and uncrowded, but you are close enough to the Bogue Inlet Pier to socialize if you'd like (or just watch the fisherman or enjoy the pier lights from one of our oceanfront decks).

We purchased "Are We There Yet" in 2009 and have enjoyed sharing the house with others. Each year we make upgrades to our home to ensure guests stays are pleasurable.
