We rent a well equipped apartment in the immediate vicinity of the beach. It is just a 2 minute walk to the beach. It has a bedroom with a French double bed, a fully equipped kitchen with microwave, a bathroom with bath, bidet, and washing machine. In the apartment there is a living and dining room with a table for 4 persons, flat screen TV and additional seating.

The apartment is located in the tourist area of the west of Portugal and is located in the beach town "Praia da Consolação" near the fishing town of Peniche. Excellent food can be found in Peniche, a small town still partially hidden behind walls dating back to the 16th century. The specialties in Peniche are seafood and fish dishes. Before settling in one of the cozy restaurants of Peniche, you can visit the fortress, which rises above the sea. It dates from the 16th century and served as a breed for political prisoners in the dictatorial regime until 1974. You can take lessons in surfing and bodyboarding. For surfers and surfers, this region is the absolute paradise. Depending on the season you can take the boat from Peniche to the Berlenga Islands, a marine bioreserve, where you can dive wonderfully. You only need an hour to get to Lisbon and a half hour to the historic city of Óbidos which is completely surrounded by its castle wall. The town of Leira with its famous castles and palaces is about an hour away. Also the famous monasteries Batalha and Alcobaça, as well as the famous Fatima shrine, can be easily reached.
