The neighbourhood is very unique from a landscape and architectural point of view. There are many different types of houses and a little further in the west of the village you will find nice green areas to wander.

From here, it is also worthwhile to visit the Zaanse Schans - 2 train stops - or Volendam, Edam and Marken. The surrounding polders with their primeval Dutch landscape are also very special. In addition, you can easily reach the beach, Haarlem and Alkmaar.
