My husband Cary starting traveling and surfing along the west coast of Mexico in the 1970's. It was always his dream to build a Spanish-Colonial house somewhere in Mexico. On a Christmas vacation in 2004 while traveling in Mexico we discovered Playa la Boquilla and fell in love with this special undeveloped spot on the Pacific Coast of Oaxaca. We bought some land and started our project which took over four years. To furnish the house we collected appropriate vintage and antique furniture which we then trailered from California. During side trips around Mexico we collected art, pottery, tile for the bathrooms and kitchen, textiles and other interesting items. We love to cook and have had many wonderful dinner parties with family, neighbors and friends. Currently we divide our time between Casa Ebano (named for the ebony trees on the property) and our home in Sonoma County California. I am an interior designer and Cary buys and sells antiques
and interesting old stuff. We enjoy spending time with our three daughters and their families while taking advantage of the amazing sites and lifestyle northern California has to offer. Always enjoy!
