Hjalli, 2BDR 2 BTHR, was originally built in 1909 and rebuilt 2014, it has modern facilities without loosing the old charm. Nestled below the church in Vík, with a short walking distance to the black sand beach and Reynisdrangar, restaurants, shop and the swimming pool.

The house was originally built in 1909 and rebuilt in 2014. Its traditional external style reflects old Icelandic farmhouses.
The front door of Hjalli is on the left.
You enter the house into a hall with a coat rack. The bathroom on the right has a shower and the bedroom on the right has a double bed, bedside tables, a drawer and a hanger. The hall has a drawer and a door leading to the backyard. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, oven, induction stove, microwave and dishwasher. Living room, dining area and kitchen are open space.
Downstairs, through a steep stair, is a bedroom with a queen size bed and a drawer and hanger and a bathroom with a shower and washing/drying machine.
Both bedrooms and living room have blinds. Take care when walking the stairs to the downstairs bedroom as it is rather steep.

The house is walking distance to the unique black sand beach in Vík with the cliffs "Reynisdrangar" exceptional in summer or winter. Short walk to the church, great viewpoint over Vík and the ocean. Recommended restaurants include Halldórskaffi in Vík and Suður-Vík restaurant or the "Svartafjara" restaurant (Black Beach restaurant) over in Reynisfjara (10 -15 minutes drive). Endless outdoor possibilities in Vík or nearby area, hiking, driving or cycling.
