A one bedroom furnished apartment is available in the heart of University of Pennsylvania for short term guests. There is a small electric stove and a refrigirator and a microwave for light cooking. Great, safe, tree-lined, 24-hour block! Must See! Above all, you will love the neighborhood.

The space
The first thing you will notice is : you are in a safe neighborhood. 43rd street is unique because it quiet, but busy enough so that you do not feel isolated. Cars drive by nearly throughput the nite and there is enough pedestrian traffic up and down this street so you are constantly in within the presence of other passers-by. The building is an old Victorian with its charming porch, lots of wood trims and high ceilings. The space was recently renovated and resplendently furnished. You are barely a block from renowned Clark park which becomes a farmers market on Saturdays. Check it out if you are in town. You are also surrounded by a great variety of restaurants and gathering spots.

Guest access
The building's common lobby which is right out of your own door. You may decide to host guest here instead of in your unit. The laundry is also available to longer staying guests - 4 days or more.

Other things to note
The lobby in the building is also yours to enjoy. You sit there, entertain there.

Location

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States

Great neighborhood, good balanced mixture of home owners and renters. At the bottom of the block is a Thai Restaurant. Going south on 43rd street is Colonial Pizza, and further down the block is Clarksville, a restaurant and bar. If you decide to make a right and go up Baltimore ave, at 45th street it the tea capital cafe. You have to go in there if you love tea! Further up I'd Renata's Kitchen, my favorite place, desi village Indian restaurant, Atiya Ola, African, Aksum, Mediterranean, Mood cafe, Indian fusion, Dhalak, Ethiopian. Back to 43rd street, if you go north, go past spruce and locust and at walnut, make a right and walk to 40th street. There, you have a variety of other restaurants, national chains, catering to general Penn student populace. So walk around and enjoy the neighborhood.

I have lived in the Philadelphia area for the past about 26 years, coming by way of immigration a year before. I own a few other businesses, also in the area, including real estate. My involvement with Airbnb was, like most of my business ventures, borne out of curiosity. A unit was available and I wanted to see what will happen if I listed it on Airbnb. The drive to do well in anything you do kind of took over from there.
