Ulimeto is an old stone house about 3 km from Volterra. The narrow road is paved and winds into hairpin bends that line olive groves and enter a wooded area. Ideal for pleasant walks during the day, we recommend using the car at night as the route is free of any lighting. In a panoramic, isolated and peaceful position, the house is spread over several levels from which you can enjoy a splendid view of the Tuscan countryside.

The space
Podere Ulimeto can accommodate up to 11 people as there are two double bedrooms, one single, two double with two beds and a double sofa bed, on the ground floor
A wood-burning fireplace leads directly from the entrance to a terrace, garden, and pool.
Practical and modern, the kitchen is equipped with oven and dishwasher.
On the ground floor there is also a dining room from which you can access another terrace where our lemon plant is located.
Finally there is a full bathroom with shower and washing machine and an exit to the yard where you can park your cars.
Upstairs there are four bedrooms, a full bathroom with a bathtub, and a small living room.
A double room that can be used for a double room has a door from which you can access the garden through another small terrace.
A staircase leads to the attic where there is a double bedroom with a small exclusive bathroom with sink, shower and bidet.
The secluded and quiet location of Ulimeto allows you to relax in the outdoor tables, barbecue, swimming pool (for the exclusive use of guests) equipped with umbrellas and deckchairs.
The water from a natural source fills two tanks where fish and water lilies and its flow acts as a relaxing background to the days of our guests. The building is a characteristic example of a Tuscan farmhouse on two floors with original terracotta floors, exposed beams and a wood-burning fireplace. The simple and comfortable environment combines the charm of tradition with modern comforts.
Ideal for those who want to spend a relaxing holiday in nature or by the pool, but also for those who want to visit the most fascinating Tuscan cities of art (Florence, Siena, Pisa, Lucca...) all within an hour's drive.
The seaside resorts (Cecina, Castiglioncello, Donoratico...) are also about 40 km away.
Volterra itself, a jewel of Etruscan, Roman and medieval art, is a pleasure for visitors.

Where you’ll be

Volterra, Tuscany, Italy

Since the house is in the middle of the countryside and is not easy to find for those who come for the first time, we usually meet our guests at the Esso gas station that is located near the Hospital located at the entrance of Volterra coming from Florence/Siena and then we continue together to the house.
It is absolutely recommended to use the car for travel to and from the house also because the street is unlit and is not served by public transport.
