  • Sailing Tayrona with Luis. Unique!
TAYRONA PARK will be CLOSED from June 1 to June 15. During this time we will be exploring some other beaches on our BEAUTIFUL coastline! ASK ME for details!. We will meet at 10:30 am at the Santa Marta International Marina. We will then board the Artivela, our 56-foot Cooper Maple Leaf sailboat with capacity for 26 people. At 11 am we will leave for our destination, perhaps Bahia Concha or one-off the other bays in Tayrona Park (weather permitting). The navigation to our destination will take about 1.5 hours. We will take the time to explain the basic fundamentals of sailing and talk about the special features of the park and its people. We also try our hand at fishing! We will pass the bays of Taganga and Granate. There we will traverse the famous Isla Aguja pass, the only island in Tayrona Park. Once we pass Isla Aguja we will enter Bahía Concha and we will try to anchor as close to the beach as conditions permit. Our fellow travelers can choose to swim, walk on the beach, snorkel or simply sunbathe on the boat. At 4.15 pm we will begin our return journey back to Santa Marta. At this point we will unfurl our sails and everyone will participate in the unforgettable experience of sailing! We will arrive at the Marina at 6 pm. Anyone who would like to stay at the café de la marina is invited and encouraged to do so. There you you can share a drink with some of the fascinating people who are passing through as they sail the world. This is your experience, so do not worry about anything. Let us take care of you. If you are prone to dizziness you can take some medicines to prevent it before we start our trip. I would like to remind you that, with me, you have everything included: entrance to the marina, Tayrona park fees, non-alcoholic drinks and lunch.

  • Day Hike to Double Waterfall in Minca
Guests will be picked up in the morning at the agreed time from their Santa Marta location (by our driver) and head 45 minutes up a winding road to the mountain town of Minca where you will meet Gabriel or Cristian (co-hosts) at a local bakery for some real colombian coffee and freshly baked artesian bread. We will then begin a one hour hike (all levels welcomed) up to a double waterfall where we will be able to swim, have snacks and beverages from the eatery. Later we will head back down to the Minca town and visit a hostel 10 minutes up several stairs. At the hostel we will enjoy a beautiful view of the mountains, city and sea; order a beverage and a vegetarian meal. We will then make our way back to Santa Marta to end the day and for you to enjoy the sunset at your place of choice. Other things to note If you're interested in a different time or date not shown, please message me to book it. • Walking Tour Santa Marta Historic Center
*Group bookings, 20% discount* Walking in the past is a city tour focused on knowing the history of the oldest city in Colombia: "SANTA MARTA"; that developed between the Sierra Nevada and the sea, told through its old constructions, such as: 1) The Tayrona Gold Museum (Customs), which collects much of the indigenous history and shows us the cultural heritage of this region. 2) We also know the old and beautiful Cathedral of Santa Marta, where the remains of the founder of this city, Rodrigo de Bastidas, are preserved. 3) The old seminary of San Juan Nepomuceno, today the Museum of Art; and other houses of illustrious people from the colonial era. 4) We will take a walk through "el callejón del Correo" and through the "Parque de los Novios", where locals and foreigners meet to enjoy the best restaurants, clothing stores, handicrafts and other entertainment venues. We want the traveler to fall in love with this city as we fell in love with it through its history and its art. The most important thing is that you feel surrounded by friends and enjoy what I have prepared for you. I can also help you with all kinds of information about the most convenient places to visit and know, where to eat deliciously, have an ice cream or enjoy the best coffee; as well as recommending other routes and unforgettable places in the city of Santa Marta.
