This week we found ourselves making raspberry jam from our first crop. The wild blueberries, (fraocháns), are looking promising too. A very private woodland retreat located in a two-hundred year old restored barn with its own kitchen, bathroom and woodburning stove. Sleep late in the hand-made bed, read a book by the fire, stroll the ancient footpaths in the private fairy woods on the property. We are in close proximity to a number of 18 hole golf courses and a par 3 for the novices.In Graiguenamanagh we have canoeing plus other water sports with "Pure Adventure "on the river Barrow, Bike Hire to explore the beautiful countryside which surrounds us ,Hill Walking on the Blackstairs Mountain Range and Brandon Hill we also have beautiful walks along the River Barrow, Pottery Making, Horse Riding also in the area are a number of soft play areas for Children.
