How do I book an online experience?
You can book your online experience on Airbnb the same way you book an in-person experience. Online experiences are hosted on Zoom. Zoom is a third-party cloud platform for video conferencing and can be used on desktop computers, tablets, and mobile devices.
Online experiences are priced per person by default. You should book a spot for each person joining the experience. However, if a host is open to multiple guests joining per device, they will let you know that you only need to book one spot on their experience page under What You’ll Do and How to Participate.
You can cancel up to 7 days before start time or within 24 hours of booking. Cancellations have the same policies for both online and in-person Airbnb Experiences.
You can change a reservation up to 72 hours before the experience begins. Policies for changes to existing reservations are the same for both online and in-person Airbnb Experiences.
Preparing for an online experience
You can check the How to participate and Guest requirements sections of the experience page to find out what you need to prepare before attending, and you'll also receive it in your booking confirmation email.
Where to meet your host
You’ll receive a link to join the experience online in your confirmation email, and in the reminder email sent before the online experience begins. You can also find it in your reservation information found in the Trips page.
How to use Zoom
If you're using a desktop, you can either join from your browser or download the Zoom app. If you're using iOS or an Android phone, you’ll need to download the Zoom app. You won’t be required to sign up for a Zoom account. Read about what you need to know before attending an online experience on Zoom.
Don’t share the Zoom link with another guest who wasn't included in your reservation, and note that the host may remove any guest who logs in separately from the Zoom meeting room.
Make sure you have the correct link for your online experience. If the link isn’t working, close Zoom and try the link again. If it’s still not working, message your host to confirm whether they are having issues with Zoom.
If Zoom is asking you for a password, message your host through Airbnb to ask for the password.
Finally, if the host isn’t having any issues, visit the Zoom Help Center.
If you come across any inappropriate content, contact Airbnb’s community support and report it. Provide as much information as possible and Airbnb will investigate the issue.
Guests are eligible for a full refund if there are any technical difficulties, such as audio or video issues, that occur either due to their own device or the host’s device during an online experience. Read the full refund policy in the Experiences Guest Refund Policy article.
