'Big Moose' is a bright, airy cottage in the woods of Bass Harbor just down the street from the famous picturesque Bass Harbor Lighthouse. Enjoy the large tub/shower after a day of hiking and sight seeing. Outdoor grill and fire pit. Minutes to several of Acadia's hikes and sites, restaurants, the quaint seaside towns of Bass Harbor and Southwest Harbor, and a scenic 30 minute drive to Bar Harbor! We're happy to allow pets upon request for a $150 fee paid separately through Airbnb after booking.

Feel the coziness of this tiny house on Newbury Neck, a beautiful peninsula. You'll be surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean between Blue Hill and Acadia National Park. Enjoy the peninsula's Carrying Place Beach, Perry's Lobster Shack, and trails. Come and stay if you love biking, kayaking, walking and hiking. The tiny house (12X8) has a full bath, kitchenette, and a new style roll out bed. FYI, when the bed is rolled out, it will take up most of the living space. It is compact but offers it all!

The NEST is located in a small community on the "quiet side" of Mount Desert Island, home of Acadia National Park. This beautiful, light filled, fully equipped apartment is available year round for guests. With it's own private entrance and sliding door to an east facing 2nd story deck, it has views of the mountains and clear night skies. Located on a small "farmette". Easy access to the beach, hiking trails and restaurants. This apartment is a perfect retreat for the off-season. (Read on)

The Seamist is located on what locals call "the quietside" of the island. Six minutes from Southwest Harbor and thirty minutes to Bar Harbor, the Seamist also offers guests private hot tub access! Two guests maximum, not a suitable space for children. Please keep allergies in mind when booking.

Walk to the Causeway via the Grover Path in 15 minutes. 5-minute walk to the Cadillac South Ridge Trail. Large high-ceiling studio with private parking and entrance with beautiful sheltered second-story deck. We are on the Blackwoods/Bar Harbor bus route so you can catch the free Island Explorer LL Bean buses to Bar Harbor and back.

A tiny guest house (450 sq ft) overlooking the Benjamin River. AC!!. Enjoy a cup of coffee on your private porch. Living area has a smart tv (no cable, but internet available to access your streaming account). DVD's also available. Kitchenette comes with Keurig with k-cups included, mini fridge, coffee maker/filters, toaster oven, microwave, 2 burner hot plate (no oven), dishes/pots and pans. There is a loft with an army cot. The cottage is brand new on 27 acres of land 3 min to Blue Hill Mountain and 5 min to Blue Hill downtown which is right on the water of Blue Hill Bay. This is a edge wood retreat perfect for two to hear birds, squirrels and porcupines. Remember to pick some blueberries when it is in season before the black baby bear down the road eat them all. 3D natural is unfolding right in front of your eyes and Acadia National Park is 50 min drive from here. Oh man, you are free!

There is an airiness to this dome-shaped hut. Light streams in from the skylight directly overhead. It is located in a sunny clearing across the creek from the other homes, a short walk from the outhouse and a well where you can fill your water bottles with fresh spring water. There is a bonfire pit with a swivel grill and an outdoor kitchenette with a propane stove, frying pan, kettle and french press.

Enjoy pristine beaches and forest and spread out in this 2600 sq ft home with cathedral ceilings, 2 fireplaces, sauna, hot tub, and well stocked kitchen. Explore the island and it's hikes and fine sand beaches or take a dip in the quarry. If you don’t like tourist traps, I highly recommend these accommodations instead of MDI
