Dragonback Trek
The Dragonback Trek has been my signature trek for the last 9 years offering a superb once in a lifetime view. This is a fully guided trekking trip with a cheerful host. Group size are kept very small and personal for comfort and safety from 2- 6 pax maximum. A short 30 minutes drive from Kuala Lumpur City Centre would bring you to a local Malaysian suburb. At the top of the ridge expect to get a panoramic view of pristine virgin jungle on one side, and KL city on the other. The whole trek will take around 2.5 – 3 hours (depending on fitness level) inclusive of rest stops and photo snapping sessions. We will pick you up bright and early in the morning from your Airbnb accommodation at 6.30am. Trips typically lasts from 6.30am to 11.30am local time. A fresh set of clothes (t-shirt, shorts and flip flops) would make the experience all the more comfortable as you would be super sweaty, yet satisfied after the trek. The dates blocked are for scheduling purposes. Do let us know among our 5 favorite trips (Backcountry Cycling, Banana Waterfall Trek, Cultural Riverside Cycling), alternative date and group size and we will try to assist. Message us via Airbnb.
Hidden Bar Hopping With A Local
Join me for a night out in town !!! We will be going to my top favorite speakeasy bars (3 or 4 hidden bars) around Pasar Seni (close to Chinatown). Each has a different theme and ambiance. The KL Urban jungle has lots of hidden doors that lead to amazing sights, smells, and sounds. Plus, we'll go for a nice dinner around the area so you can enjoy the local food. On top of that, we will be walking from one location to another and that would also be a part of the experience where you can enjoy the night lights around Old KL City (Pasar Seni). I would like to share the experiences and excitement that these bars have given me when I'm out drinking with my friends. We'll discuss various topics, especially about Southeast Asia, Malaysia, and Kuala Lumpur, or where ever the conversation leads us. If you guys would like to continue the night, I would be more than happy to suggest clubs or bars. Note: Cocktails may cost from RM 30 to RM 50 per glass. Beers may cost from RM 13 to RM 20 per bottle/can. For men, shoes are required.
Personal Guide for Introverts/Solo Travelers
Is it your first time in Malaysia? Are you an introvert who feels nervous about joining big tour groups or exploring the city on your own? Don't worry -- I've got you covered. I will be your local friend & private guide (you will not be sharing the tour with anyone else). I can also recommend local delicacies based on your dietary needs/restrictions. On top of that, if you have any question about solo traveling, I will be more than happy to share tips and stories. This tour is also ideal for those on a layover in KLIA, as it starts and ends in KL Sentral, which is easily accessible from the airport. Please note, however, that it takes 1 hour to travel between these two points. I can make minor adjustments based on your time, but please let me know before booking. Note: This is a walking tour. It will be done mostly by walking and taking public transports. I will bear the cost of the bus/train rides. In case of very heavy rain, the experience may get cancelled with a full refund or rescheduled (subject to my availability). Food is not included in the tour. Want to customize the itinerary? Sure! However, do note that if the destination you choose requires a taxi ride and/or entrance fee, it will be at your expense.

Chef-Curated Kuala Lumpur Street Food Tour
With Malay, Indian and Chinese influences, it's no wonder that Malaysian food is a lip-smackingly complex beast. But where to start? We'll meet at 5:30pm in Chow Kit and Kampung Baru - one of last old districts yet to be developed into glassy high rises. These are tight-knit communities known for their traditional wooden housing & delicious nightly street eats. We'll end at the mighty Petronas Towers by 9:30pm. Don't expect other foreigners. As we weave among the evening food vendors, we'll have 14+ tastings carefully curated by a KL chef for their varying tastes and culinary history. The flavours change across the year, but firm favourites are fragrant bowls of laksa, hand stretched rotis with a trio of curries, nasi lemak with piquant sambal & herbal chicken rendang, mackerel freshly grilled with freshly ground curry paste, nasi kerabu with blue flower rice, & soothing iced cendol with custard-like durian, among much more. While it's possible to attempt such a culinary marathon yourself, if you want the real deal you'd be one sandwich short of a Malaysian picnic not to join me on my moveable food feast! *Special Diets:- suitable for lactose or gluten intolerances. Not recommended for vegetarians as you'll have to skip a few dishes (but OK for pescatarians). It is halal with no pork on the menu. Not advised for severe food allergies due to risk of cross-contamination.*
