What you'll do

We're going to explore San Francisco - the City by the Bay with its rolling hills and never ending water views - on a beautiful bike ride along the city’s stunning waterfront, across the Golden Gate Bridge, towards the quaint coastal community of Sausalito.

Tours will depart daily at 10am from 757 Beach Street, at Fisherman's Wharf , and last for 3 hours. To ensure a personalized guest experience, each tour will be held in a small-group format.

After departing from Ghirardelli Square at the western end of Fisherman’s Wharf, we will bike through the green hillside of Fort Mason, the Marina District, through Crissy Fields, up to and across the Golden Gate Bridge, and then down the Marin Headlands into Sausalito.

There, guests can either stay to explore Sausalito on their own with the bikes (always recommended), or take the ferry back to San Francisco. The tour does NOT include the ferry back.

Guests on this small-group bike tour will be fitted with state-of-the-art Cannondale bikes. For a nominal fee, guests can also upgrade to e-bikes.

All guests must be able to ride their own bicycles. Attachments such as double trailers and tagalong bikes are not permitted for the safety of the group.
Other things to note
Please wear comfortable clothes. Everyone does need to know how to ride their own bike. This is an easy/moderate ride! Please also bring ID/Credit Card with you!

Hi everyone, my name is Alex and I've lived in San Francisco all of my life. I've been giving Golden Gate Bridge Bike Tours for the last few years and have immense knowledge of the whole area. I love getting to know people and introducing them to one of my favorite places in the world, sharing all of the fun and unique things this city has to offer, as well as provide insight into the history and quirky facts that people would not have known on their own! If I'm not conducting the tour, you will be with another amazing and experienced local guide that works with me! =)

Steve was our tour guide and he did a great job. He was knowledgeable about the history of SF. He also told us what to expect with respect to road conditions and I felt safe throughout the bike ride. I highly recommend this tour.

This was a great bike excursion! We toured Chrissie Field and other parts of SF along the bay. In addition we went up and over the Golden Gate Bridge over to Sausilito! This is the perfect experience for any level of biking (in fact we had two young kids in our group). Great storytelling. I learned a lot of fun facts about the area. The bonus: We got to see (and photograph) the Blue Angels practicing for Fleet Week (right over the Golden Gate)! Incredible! Steve, was a fantastic tour guide!

We really enjoyed having Steve do our tour. We did a private tour early in the morning and he worked with us to give us the experience we wanted. Would love to go back and see other parts of the city in another bike tour.

This trip was a stupendous experience. Our tour guide, Steve, was kind and personable. As a San Francisco native, he shared a wealth of knowledge with our group. The scenery was gorgeous, the bike-riding was pleasant, and the stops we visited were interesting and unique. Would absolutely recommend for anyone new to San Francisco and hoping to experience the city on a personal level!

Absolutely fantastic experience! From Fisherman’s Wharf we rode over the Golden Gate Bridge into Sasulito. I am completely new to SF so I had no idea there was a trail like this. Bill knew his stuff too, got a great history lesson and good photos on the way. Take the ferry from Sasulito too. Fantastic ride!
