What you'll do

We will meet at Shingle Creek Trail, where we will take our hike. Shingle Creek is home to a beautiful variety of fauna and flora. The creek runs all the way to the Everglades! You can take photographs along the way!
When we reach the end of the trail, we will set up some mats and bring out some canvas boards and do a landscape painting of what we see. I will be there to guide you along the way!
Other things to note
This is an outdoors area in Florida so it does get hot and it does have bugs. Please dress appropriately, bring repellent and sunscreen. A good breakfast prior to the hike is a great idea!

Where you'll be

Shingle Creek is known as the "Northernmost Headwaters of the Florida Everglades". It begins in Orlando after a 350 mile journey it flows out to the Everglades or the Gulf of Mexico. You may see a great variety of birds, turtles, fish, and yes... Florida alligators. (don't worry, we won't go anywhere close to them)

The trail has a lot of natural light and that makes great pictures. I suggest bringing a blanket if you have a big group. She has a blanket to sit on but it was 5 of us including her on it. Other than that it was very fun!

My 2 children and I thoroughly enjoyed this experience, I suggest comfortable walking shoes and a small blanket, we drove 7 hours from Alabama but it was definitely worth it. glaucia was so pleasant and informative, but she wasn’t too talkative , only when necessary but that allowed us to enjoy the sounds of nature even more. What we love most was the pot of gold at the end of the trail which was the portrait painting, seems so simple but the location was everything, thank you glaucia, hope to see you soon🥰🥰

Meet up location was easy to get to and straightforward. The walk along the creek was very relaxing and we were able to observe wildlife and lovely scenes. The painting location was comfortable and we received some very helpful tips from the host on how to start our artworks. Lovely experience, highly recommend.
