What you'll do

This tours generally leaves from our Split office at 8am and returns about 7:00 pm.
The ride from Split is approximately 1hr30. We take a boat tour in the National Park and visit the restored stone houses and watermills. This experience includes 2 parts of the National park: Skradinski Buk and Roski slap. You get a guided tour of both parts and the rest of your time at Krka national park is spent swimming and wandering the beautiful park. In the Ethno village of the Roški waterfall we stop for some spirit tasting at our friend Ante’s homestead (“konoba”) in an authentic rural setting. After the tasting you will have an opportunity to enjoy an OPTIONAL lunch at the konoba for a discounted price - the spirit tasting is on us!
THIS TOUR REQUIRES A MINIMUM BOOKING OF 3 PEOPLE PER TOUR.
In the winter months (Nov 1 - March 31), the park closes early, the boat trip from Skradin is unavailable but we still have a fantastic time soaking up the nature without the crowds.
In consequence, we leave the park at approximately 2pm and visit the seaside city of Sibenik for about an hour, where you can explore this beautiful town and enjoy a late lunch, prior to returning to Split at approximately 4.30pm where we invite you to taste some homemade spirits on us -the tour finishes approx. 5.30.pm
Please bring a swimming costume - though swimming at Skadinski Buk waterfall is now prohibited

Hi! I’m Jadran. I was born in Split and have spent my whole life here. From a very early age I developed a passion for history which led me to study history at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Split. There, I studied and broadened my knowledge of local history. Also, I learned to teach and talk about history in a fun and informative way. Besides history, I also received a degree in philosophy which allows me to connect with people with different cultural background.

Great tour and because we went in the off season, we had the park to ourselves! Highly recommend this. Just note that lunch is scheduled very late in the day, so bring snacks and arrive fed.

A once-in-a-lifetime tour through a truly beautiful part of Croatia. Tonci is an elite-tier guide, both friendly and knowledgeable, who made everyone in our group immediately comfortable and excited about our adventure together. Thank you for an amazing experience!

I had a wonderful time on my Krka tour. The guide, Tonci, was super friendly and had tons of knowledge about Krka, Split and Croatia in general. I would definitely recommend booking a tour- it was a great way to spend the day!

Awesome experience! I especially liked the restaurant he recommended to eat by the park, so authentic and the meats were awesome. Tonci was very patient with all of us when we got tipsy at the end of the tour.

Such a great day! Five stars + from beginning to end. Our guide spoke great English and was able to answer all of our questions and tell us all about what we were seeing. We had a simple but delicious lunch at a local tavern and after, enjoyed setting our own pace at a hike through the park. Highly recommended tour!

We had a wonderful time from start to finish. Jadran, our guide, was very personable, knowledgeable, and full of interesting facts and stories about the area. We believe Gecko Tours go beyond and above to make the experience thoroughly enjoyable. There was just the right mix of having a guide and having time on our own. The Krka National Park is beautiful! We will definitely book with Gecko Tours again if ever in the area. We were especially happy with the small group size and the personal experience of the spirit tasting at the end of the tour.
