What you'll do

Our tour lasts 4 to 5 hours and includes part of the historical center and the Santa Fe, Los Martires and Teusaquillo neighborhoods. During the tour we visit the Parque Nacional, a coffee roaster where we see how Colombian coffee is selected and prepared, we taste fruits in a traditional market, pass by the National Museum and bullfighting plaza, where we often enter, and we play Colombia’s national sport, tejo.

The tour covers some 13 kilometers, mostly flat. It’s a relaxed tour, with many stops where we talk about history, culture, politics, urban development and other subjects. All of our guides speak English, and for private tours we have also have French-, German- and Portuguese-speaking guides available.

Our bicycles have aluminum frames, front suspension, 18 to 21 gears and Shimano parts. For tour groups of more than six people a mechanic/support person also accompanies the group.

Hi, my name is Daniel, a professional tour guide. I studied tourism for four years and now have nationwide tourism experience. Through my experience, I've reached the conclusion that many Colombian tour agencies give only classic tours, rather than taking that next step.

I have had the opportunity to meet all kinds of tourists and they have congratulated me on my excellent explanation of Colombian history and, naturally, my high level of customer service, based on respect.

I love coffee, emeralds, Colombian fruits and beer. But, above all, I love Colombia's national sport, tejo!

This tour is ok. It's quite a long tour (it took us almost 5 hours!) but you get to see a fair bit of the city. The areas you ride around aren't the easiest to navigate on a bike (you have to go up streets the wrong way etc.). But the food and the coffee is a decent way to "experience" Bogota.

Where do I begin? First of all I want to thank the team over at Bogota Bike Tours. What a nice helpful bunch of guys. I was lucky enough to have Mike take me around and show me the city. We went to countless locations that I would never have stumbled upon on my own. But the real treat was the attention thoughtfulness and care from him. He brought to me a wonderful cafe where they roast their own beans. A graffiti studio showcasing local talent. A fruit market where they let us try amazing fresh local fruit. Amazing. Mike is the most amazing tour guide I’ve ever had the privilege to go on a tour with. Words don’t do the experience justice. Like Nike says; JUST DO IT!

The bike tour was a great way to see several neighborhoods around Bogota! I really enjoyed all of the history and stories provided by our guide. I’d say this is one of the best ways to explore a new city!

Great tour! Ideal for someone that wants an easy bike ride around the city. Don’t think my heart rate went over 100bpm. A lot of stops in the beginning. Enjoyed the coffee and stop to get Colombian fruit juice.

This tour of Bogota is good, but not the best bike tour I have been on. It is a good way to get a comprehensive view of the city, but I would look for other tours ahead of this one.

Edu was a terrific tour guide, he also answered every question we used to ask about everything in Bogotá, he's someone who's knowledge is admirable. We wanted to make this journey through the city in our first day of our trip to Bogotá because we wanted to see everything before we did it, it was an excellent idea, thank you for everything!
