Highly, highly recommend - is an excellent experience that gives a range of insights into the cultural heritage site, South African history - with little gems about geology, etc thrown in. Wish we had several more hours with Marius.

Marius links local with international history to give a broad perspective of South African history in the bigger context. The tour was made exceptionally interesting by Marius' knowledge of the history as well as the monument. We would definitely recommend it to locals with existing knowledge of history as well as foreigners with zero knowledge of South African history.

Marius provides an insightful tour of the Voortrekker monument and provides lots of interesting facts about Pretoria and South Africa. I highly recommend this tour for any tourist, history junkie or any South African citizen with a interest in our heritage. Marius is energetic, humorous and a perfect tour guide. The Voortrekker monument is not only appealing to anyone with a keen interest in architecture, but also tells the the tale of the great trek and its influences on modern South Africa. Bring along your camera!
