I ran my own Dakgalbi restaurant for 7 years in Sinchon area based on my knowledge and experiences.
I lived with extended family from diverse cities in Korea so I could get amazing knowledge about various local food from them.
Also I've shared the K-cooking with Koreans & foreigners for 5 years.

Where you'll be

Our meeting point is 'Mangwon subway station - Exit 2' located only one block away from Mangwon market.
There are way fewer tourists here as compared to Gwangjang market or Noryanjin market but it is more popular and lively with local.

My well decorated place is only 3mins far from the end of Mangwon market.
I've lived here for a long time so you can see real Korean's life.

What a wonderful experience! After strolling through an authentic market —and getting some true insider tips on the best ingredients— we were welcomed at Junghee’s home where we made some classic Korean dishes and swapped travel stories. Everything was really well taken care of and the food was delicious! Also great for all skill levels. Junghee is an extraordinary host who really makes you feel welcome, her English is great and she’s very accommodating towards vegetarians and/or those with allergies. We would love to come back sometime and cook some more great food with her! Highly recommend

I can only recommend this cooking course to everyone! Junghee is the friendliest and best host you could wish for. You really get the feeling that you are welcome in her house and that she takes care of everything! The tour of the market is very exciting and you learn a lot about Korean food. The cooking was a lot of fun and everything was explained in such a way that even beginners could follow along. The food is very tasty and you also learn something about Korean culture and language. Overall, I can only recommend this course as we really had a wonderful evening!

I had a lovelyyy time. The host explained everything clearly, she took great pictures throughout the experience and sent the recipes for all the dishes afterward. The workspace was very pretty, the food was amazing, and the host's company was a pleasure. Highly recommend

Junghee was very nice and welcoming and she explained a lot of curiosities about korean food and culture! Moreover, all the food we prepared was really delicious and she sent us all the receipts so we can remember everything to cook it later at home:)

Junghee gave me an unreal Korean cooking class experience! She is incredibly friendly and such an amazing teacher! She takes you on a tour through the market and explains the different kinds of food that are sold there and how to cook or eat them. Then, she takes you to the cutest and most welcoming environment her cooking workshop! It is so colourful and fun! The food making process is almost as fun as getting to eat it in the end. :) The food turned out delicious and I will definitely be making these Korean dishes for my family back home! Thank you so very much! ♥️

I was the only guest for this time and the host waited a little bit for me before entering the market. The host introduced a lot of things about the traditional market. The cooking class was simple and fun. I think I would be able to make the 4 dishes myself if I can collect all the vegetables and ingredients. The bibimbap I made was much better than what I had in the US. Thanks Junghee.
