What you'll do

During this activity you will be explained, how the process of Holocaust was introduced step by step. These were five years marked in four square kilometres in the middle of European capital. We start our throughout walk next to Hard Rock Cafe Warsaw. Then, with my help you will discover elements connected with WWII history: bullet holes, original cobblestone, partly destroyed houses adopted in new developments. You will get to know about unexplained symbols in the area of the Ghetto. We will finish next to Polin museum, which is close to the Old Town, so you can visit these places on your own after all.

I was born in territory of Jewish Ghetto in Warsaw. I have grown up in the area of World’s biggest prison ever. There are many substantial elements not described in guidebooks, or not pointed out on the maps either. For my education background I am philosopher of culture, for my hobby - historian & my profession is: tour guide in Warsaw. My mission is to "Tell you how it was".

Where you'll be

The biggest Jewish Ghetto in WWII history was located right here in Warsaw. Most of the buildings got destroyed during war operations, but there are a lot of small remainings that need to be pointed out. Before WWII there was a significant Jewish Quarter in an area that was later on chosen by the Nazis as a prison for the Jews - Ghetto.

I was the only one participating in his first ever tour and as of so we made it by car which made the visit way more quick than expected but then it made it way more complete too as I could ask about other matters than this activity in matter of history and my host was completely up for answering and discussing other things then with a great accuracy. He clearly knows his subject and I left with new knowledge I would definitely not have been able to get alone. It was a great time learning and speaking with you!
