I am the owner of an environmental management unit in the jungle of Akumal. I have attended several courses of environmental education, also a course given by the National Institute of ecology and bioclimatic change. In the facilities we give refuge to more than 100 wild animals of 18 species and with which we carry out rehabilitation reproduction and reintegration, plans.
My work is focused on helping these animals and improving and maintaining their facilities to offer them a better stay while they are with us

It's a must!! Easily accessible for us via collectivo from playa del carmen. Great way to learn about the jungle and animals in a beautiful, natural setting... with the added bonus of a super friendly tour guide, a fun jungle truck ride, and a private underground cenote swim. If you're doing the evening tour I recommend you to bring something to keep you warm after you swim. We loved this and we were happy to have our money support these animals.

Estuvo muy bien. Fue muy divertido, educativo y mágico. Las fotos no le hacen justicia a la realidad, mucho mejor de lo que esperaba y el guía era muy amable.

This was a highlight of our 11 days in Yucatan. Jano was super welcoming and kind, and it was a welcome change from the superficial, noisy bustle of Tulum. What a magical little place--highly recommend this for nature and animal lovers looking to escape from the tourist grind!

So interesting and fun! Our kind and funny guide Jano told us everything about various trees and plants and we got to get up close with monkeys, snakes, macaws, crocodiles and other rescued wildlife, and the cenote was beautiful. Would love to come back!

This is a great tour!! It’s got everything: nature, animals and last but not least: a beautiful cenote under the ground. The guide is super enthousiastic and explains a lot about plants, bees, the animal sanctuary and the cenote. Take the time, it might take a bit longer than you expect but it is definitely worth it!!
