What you'll do

In this tasting session, you will try 6 different kinds of sake, paired with edible companions. We will discuss what you need to know about sake and how sake flavors change depending on the brand and how it is served, delving into the nuances of Japanese food culture. By the end of this experience, you are not gonna want to take a sake bomb... hopefully.
Other things to note
Let me know if you have any food allergies or restrictions in advance. The snacks will be light, so please have something small to eat beforehand.

I’m a certified sake sommelier and a new wave sake bar owner in Tokyo. I also founded Ninja Food Tours, a gourmet food tour company featured by multiple media (e.g. CNN). While I have a deep appreciation of traditional sake culture, I also love to experiment new things with sake. That is what I do with my professional sommelier team on a daily basis. Where you'll be

Giulia or I will meet you at my sake bar in Nishi-Shinjuku. You can easily go to Shibuya or Shinjuku after the sake tasting class and I will give you tips to explore Tokyo.

Whoever thought drinking and learning makes a great academic environment lol I enjoyed drinking sake and understanding the process of making it. This allowed me to appreciate sake much more and learn something new. i would recommend this experience to everyone to get a cultural experience about drinking sake!

Let me start this off by saying I was beyond happy to get to experience this. Yuma san was beyond professional and the experience was very interactive. We tried all sorts of unique and different sake, got to undertsand the history of sake, and were taken step by step on the process of making sake. Then, with that knowledge, tasting the unique sake, we learned how and why the flavors and tastes varied so much, whether it was the koji, yeast, water, or even just filtration during the brewing process. I'm generally a beer and whiskey drinker and this was a great experience. Yuma san is fluent in English, was beyond knowledgeable on Sake, runs his own restaurant, and you get 100% attention from a master. - exactly as described. Happy to recommend this to anyone who is even remotely interested in Sake.

I had never tried sake before, but Yuma was still able to make a very pleasant experience for me. He is very knowledgeable and explains the whole process of making sake. Very informative and a lot of fun.

This was a wonderful experience! The bar is cozy and personable and Yuma was happy to answer all of our questions. We came out with a much better understanding of sake.
