Arrive at Burren Nature Sanctuary
Meet and feed the farm animals including Frisky the goat and her friends Hannah, Mocha and Chino, Jazz and Dolly the alpacas, Frank theLlama and Ruben the rabbit.
Continue to Emilia's paddock and meet Emilia the Juliana pig who lives with Dyson the rescued not-so-micro pig!
Emilia will run out of her paddock to get her harness on and with help from Mary or Helen, you will learn how to lead Emilia and use the pig paddle to turn and direct her!
Laugh a lot!
Set off down the nature walk and learn a little about the famine village (Emilia is not a great fan of history...)
Lead Emilia around the fairy woodland and learn who lives in the fairy houses. Make a wish in the Fairy wishing well.
Take photos with Emila beside the seesaw and share on social media or save as a Christmas card image! Continue your walk unguided around the mile-long nature walk.

Enjoy the rest of the walk and find your picnic basket with delicious fresh food .
Subject to cancellation in very bad weather- Emilia does not like heavy rain!

I am an organic farmer passionate about animals, nature and the biodiversity of the Burren. When I am not free Emilia's best friend Helen will take the walks! Helen is also a passionate animal lover and has been an animal handler and main member of the team at Burren Nature Sanctuary since we opened in 2012. We will introduce you to our other adopted and retired farm pets and tell you all about The Burren Nature Sanctuary. With a wealth of local knowledge we will give you an insight into the area and the Burren, the most biodiverse place in Ireland. We will show you the ancient dwellings where people survived on this small farm hundreds of years ago. We support compassion in world farming and our mission is to engage people with animals and nature so they fall in love and change the world!

Mary was so lovely! Me and my boyfriend did the walk and she was so sweet, we loved all the stories of the fairies and you can see the love she has for all the animals. Emilia was an absolute delight to walk and my favourite thing ever was how she knew exactly where she needed to go and didn’t leave a scrap of food behind anywhere! Thank you for making our day so special, it truly felt magical

A brilliant experience for anyone thinking of booking with Mary. Amelia the pig is great on the walk, the location is great, and a very thoughtful and delicious picnic was supplied by Mary afterwards. Would recommend for anyone looking for an outdoor activity with a twist.

We went on the fairy pig walk last week. what a magical place. Mary was a beautiful lady and great host. She has a wonderful set up for the animals. we walked through the forest with the gorgeous Amelia the pig. the first pig I ever walked!! the forest is beautiful with fairy doors everywhere and mary told us the fairys' names. there were lots of little stop offs with seats and a beautiful tree house. we saw the disappearing lake. then Mary left us a gorgeous lunch in a fabulous gypsy caravan a welcoming shade as it was a very hot day. we then walked back through the meadow. we got to feed lovely goats and met Dyson the rather lively pig. we visited the lovely cafe and gift shop on site where there was a lovely helpful lady. this is a fantastic experience I would highly recommend.
