What you'll do

I will pick you up in Malaga city center and we will go to the dam of Conde del Guadalhorce. In the way we will cross the guadalhorce valley, a unique valley in the province specialized in the production of citrus trees. We will ascend and cross the range of Alcaparain and some white villages.

From the dam, we will start the hike crossing a tunnel made under the rock until the entrance of the king's walkway. We will discover the geology of the natural park, the mediterranean plants and animals, the landscape, the way of life of the inhabitants and their customs.

We will stop at the most breathtaking view points from the canyon to admire the gorges and to take pictures.

At the end of the hike we will take the shuttle bus which will leave us at the start of the hike.

This is not just a hike in the gorges of Caminito del Rey, it is an inmersion in the countryside of Malaga.

Where you'll be

During the trip we will discover the Guadalhorce valley, we will hike trought the King´s Walkway (Caminito del Rey). We will discover the geology, the plants, the ammonites and the wildlife of the natural park.

Best way to visit Caminito del Rey avoiding big groups and endless trips in a bus, but do not spect to be alone in the natural park, we will cross with other people.
WINTER TIME: BRING WARM CLOTHS, ITS COLD IN THE MOUNTAINS.

The site is amazing, it’s breathtaking, and Alfonso made it even better, he is friendly, attentive and he gave us great informations about the plants, the history, and the rocks, i learnt a lot and had a wonderful time. We even saw some animals and had a picnic where Alfonso really made the group exchange their cultures and stories, it was awesome to meet and share with the group.

Alfonso’s trip is the highlight of our vacation to Spain. He has a great transport van with a lot of leg room for taller travelers and is a great story teller. He is very knowledgeable about the geography of the area and how it was historically across different eras. In addition he knows a lot of history and hearing them come together was great! The picnic was good. Alfonso also takes amazing photos and has a great sense of humor that unites the group. Overall a really great time!
