What you'll do

Floating the river is one of the most popular things to do in Texas. We'll meet at the Austin Visitors Center, and head south to a spring fed river located in San Marcos, Tx. The bus will drive us to the beginning of the river to grab our tubes, and will be waiting for us a couple miles downstream. Best part is no waiting in lines, looking for parking, or taking shuttles to the top. Our busses can accommodate up to 38 guests and has a has aux chord onboard for any djs. Two chilled hosts and a driver will be joining to help out with tubes/coolers. BYOB and snacks.

Our float is up to 3 hours long, and we will have plenty of time to soak up the sun. The San Marcos river has cypress trees for some shade, and tons of basking turtles. It's fed by the Edwards aquifer and stays 70 degrees all year. Great way to beat the heat! Trips end back at Austin Visitors Center around 3:30-4pm. Join the adventure to soak up some sun, and meet tons of great friends.

Float trips are great for bachelor/bachelorette parties, solo travelers, and groups!

Our bus can accommodate up to 38 guests.
If sold out on airbnb, check out our website, Frontera Tours.

For the last 10 years, I've had the opportunity to guide experiences around the world. I am a Texan native, and grew up on the southern border. After studying business, I found myself with an itch to travel. I now have a tour agency in Austin Texas, Frontera Tours, and I love showing off the city. There's so much sightseeing, and tons of history. On my free time I find myself cycling around the city, exploring and eating.

Where you'll be

The San Marcos river is one of our favorite fresh water springs here in Central Texas. The water is 70 degrees all year, and is the best way to beat the heat. We'll have the opportunity to enjoy the cypress canopy with the chance to hear some country music.

Ross and Cody were great hosts! It was an awesome experience for my group who were visiting from multiple areas around the country. Highly recommend for a weekend chill day on the River! Make sure to bring extra drinks as my group and I underestimated how slow the River flew! 🤙🏼

Lovely float! 10/10 nature + people watching. Lots of folks on the river, as expected. If you pay attention, you can spot interesting birds and some lil yellow fishies. Guides had great energy - thanks y'all :)

The Texas scenery on the river is beautiful, and a good way to break up your trip to Austin if you would like to see something outside the city. We felt comfortable on the float and were glad that we wore hats and had heavy duty sunscreen on. The other guests on the trip were fun, and our guides kept tabs on us throughout the float and made sure we were taken care of. We had lots of good conversations with other people floating on the river, and I would definitely recommend this to friends and family visiting the area.

Awesome experience! The organization was seamless. From checking in, to getting the provided coolers loaded/tagged with our stuff, the shuttle, the float, and getting back to the start was perfect. It was nice not having to worry about a cooler/ice as those were provided. Also nice that we could lock our valuables up on the bus. Not to mention, the guides were super fun, which made the experience even better! Would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to have a fun day on the river.
