What you'll do

Starting off in Kathmandu, we'll visit several world heritage monuments around Nepal’s capital city. Next we'll take a 30-minute flight to Pokhara city and then drive to Naya Pul village to begin our trek through the Himalayas.

We'll pass through villages, rhododendron, oak forests, and streams to reach Nangethanti village. Then we'll trek from village to village, crossing suspension bridges, taking in views of famous peaks, and visiting museums. We'll end back in Pokhara, and from here you can either take a plane or drive back to Kathmandu.

Your itinerary

  • Day 1

    Arrival in Kathmandu airport
    Spend the evening in Kathmandu near the Thamel Bazar.
  • Day 2

    Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley
    Visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, Swoyambhu, and Boudhanath.
  • Day 3

    Kathmandu to Pokhara
    Take a thirty-minute flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara.
  • Day 4

    Pokhara to Tikhedhunga
    We'll begin our trek in Naya Pul and head to Tikhe Dhunga.
  • Day 5

    Tikhe Dhunga Trek to Ghorepani
    Trek to Nangethanti village for lunch and end in Ghorepani village.
  • Day 6

    Ghorepani to Poon Hill to Tadapani
    Trek to Poon Hill, then head to Tadapani via Banthanti.
  • Day 7

    Tadapani to Ghandruk
    Trek through forests of rhododendron and juniper to the Gurung village of Ghandruk.
  • Day 8

    Ghandruk to Tolka
    Cross Modi Khola Valley on a suspension bridge to Landruk, then trek to Tolka village.
  • Day 9

    Tolka to Phedi and Pokhar
    The group has two different options of how to travel back to Pokhara.
  • Day 10

    5-hour drive back to Kathmandu
    We'll take the scenic highway route back to Kathmandu.
  • Day 11

    Depart from Kathmandu
    Head home from Nepal and tell your friends about your adventure.

This is 1st time solo trekking tip in Nepal for 11 days. Thank you Shailesh and his team to do the best arrangements to take care me in Kathmandu and Pokhara. All the professional and experienced trekking guides they provided in their company, like Mr. Nawin who is my trekking guide in this journey! I had a wonderful trekking time from Birethati to Tolka, the highest point in Poon Hill(3220m). I will come back to explore Nepal next year.
