As a licensed travel planner/travel agent creating awarded tours is my passion which led me to create my own bespoke company which is trusted by the New York Times and Lonely Planet! Cretan food and Culture were enough to make me and my team fall in love with this island. We are avid travelers and foodies ourselves and love anything that is organic and from small producers. Crete is a foodies’ paradise! Walk with us to experience the city like a local and explore the best the city has to offer. We are great cooks ourselves and we can end this experience with a cooking class at my house. We have turned our passion into our profession as we have been running this tour for the last 2 years.

Margaryta was a wonderful host! It was like spending a day with a friend exploring the downtown area of Heraklion. It was the perfect start to our trip because it gave us knowledge of flavors and what to look out for during the rest of our trip! Every stop was one we wouldn't have stopped at ourselves, so we felt like one of the locals. She also gave us a few cooking tips since she also teaches cooking classes. Can't wait to try those at home. Every one in Crete was unbelievably nice and hospitable to us and Margaryta was no exception to the rule. You will enjoy this tour!

We had so much fun, the quality of food was impressive and the stories shared as well. Plus, we got to experience the earthquake together while drinking a delicious greek coffee - an adventurous add-on to our food&wine trip:)

I had a wonderful history and food tour with Eva. She shared some of her favourite places and stories about Heraklion, both the more touristy areas and quieter neighbourhoods. We chatted about our shared experiences of travel. The food and drink was lovely, and there was plenty of it! It felt like experiencing a bit of authentic Cretan city life. Thanks Eva, hope you did manage to get to a beach, it was such a lovely evening! However, on reviewing the description afterwards for this review, it stated that we would do some things which we didn’t. This didn’t detract from my enjoyment, and I didn’t mind it at all, but I think the main host should review the description: - we did not go to a cafe where they make coffee using sand in the old way, though Eva described the method to me and we had a lovely traditional coffee - we did not eat snails (fine by me as I’d had them the day before!) - there was no cooking at a local home....

Wow. Wow. Wow. Words cannot express how much my family and I loved our tour with Eva! She was absolutely incredible. Her knowledge of Heraklion was unbelievable! We were so impressed with her selection of foods, her knowledge of Cretan history, and just her amazing company. We really felt like we were with close friends the entire time. Please do yourself a favor and book this tour—you will not be disappointed. Thank you again Eva for making our last full day in Crete so memorable. Yamas!!

Our tourguide was Eva and she was wonderful. We had such a great time listening to her talking about Crete history and how she lives. The food was amazing and we got to know some great other people that were also on the tour. We even had dinner together after the tour was over. It was definitely worth the price.
