What you'll do

We will bake fruit, lavender and berry scones, and spelt or brown bread.
I believe in the hands on experience for my guests - from handling ingredients to kneading dough.
It isn't all about the cooking, I share lots of tips from my experience over the years.
I love to see the faces full of excitement and joy at the sight of the end product - freshly baked scones and bread.
And best of all we have lots of fun.

Coming from a farming background I remember well how everything on the farm was home produced. From milking the cows after school to baking mince pies at Christmas, I was introduced to cooking from a very early age, and the passion has stayed with me. I have run a successful cafe and cookery school for many years. Being featured in The Bridgestone Guide, New York Times and on a number of overseas websites brings a steady stream of tourists to my cafe and classes. I am vegetarian and have a strong belief in the value of nutritious and healthy eating so I also run vegetarian cookery classes.

Absolutely incredible experience! My husband and I baked scones and bread with Kate on our honeymoon, and they were by FAR the best scones I’ve ever had in my life! Kate sat with us and chatted while we waited for our goodies in the oven to bake. Her home is very warm and her pup was so sweet! Great experience for anyone looking to be fully immersed in the Irish baking culture! Book this experience now…you won’t regret it!

Amazing experience, took the girlfriend as a surprise (her baking is shocking) and we both loved it equally. I can only hope she will remember a few tips for when we get home! Anyway fun and enjoyable experience, would 100% recommend! Thanks Kate and remember to put coffee in the coffee pot not tea 😂👍

A wonderful and unique experience! Kate is an excellent and gracious host- she even picked me up from the bus stop because I didn’t have a car. It was delicious and fun - a perfect activity for a rainy morning!

Cancellation policy

Cancel up to 7 days before the Experience start time for a full refund, or within 24 hours of booking as long as the booking is made more than 48 hours before the start time.

Guest requirements

Up to 10 guests of all ages can attend.

What to bring

Guests do not need to bring anything with them. I provide ingredients, recipes, pens, aprons. Do let me know if you have any dietary/food allergies or concerns. I use wheat, dairy products but can easily switch to gluten and wheat free products as well
