You will get to learn how to make my traditional northern Thai dish and the ways you can adapt it to your everyday meal. Moreover, this experience will be the medium between northern Thai culture and yours. You will see how we are close and connected to each other.

We booked this experience as a private group. We are an organization that creates community for current/former foster youth in Massachusetts. We pick these experiences as a way to connect during COVID because they are a natural ice breaker and because of the opportunity to learn something new as well as build relationship with one another both among members who don't know one another and/or those who have known one another for years. We really enjoyed how Sathita made the process accessible to us and her recommendations for substituations of ingredients and example of other meals to use the items we were preparing. Overall many of us felt inspired by the lesson and intend to make more of this dish. We gave her 4 stars because, we were really surprised when at the 45 minute mark hit and she was about to wrap up the whole experience if I hadn't asked for more time to build relationship among the attendees and took on some of the role that I thought she might do more of as a host. This is such an important part of what we do to connect one another to each other as much as or even more important than the lesson itself especially with a private group. Almost ending at 45 minutes felt really surprising because the course was advertised as 90 minutes. Several of our participants also suggested that it would have been great to have the handout of the instructions in advance so they could view the instructions and listen to Sathita while they were cooking in their kitchens. We appreciated that she offered to send it after the course. Some of our particpiants felt rushed with the instructions and pace but felt intimidated to speak up. Overall we enjoyed the experience and learned new skills including how to fry and egg two different ways!

Sathita was traveling and not in her usual kitchen at home yet accommodated our booking and worked with our schedule. The experience was great and the food we cooked delicious. We made extra but ended up finishing it all :)

Great class! Everything was well organized, with a detailed shopping list sent ahead of time. I ended up being the only one in this time slot, so we had lots of time to chat & go at a personalized speed. Everything turned out delicious. Highly recommend!

This was such a fun and informative class! The dish is something I can make over and over again. It was simple and I felt so connected. I would suggest that you also have some rice or something cooking so you can eat your dinner right away :)
