What you'll do

Group or customized stargazing with a powerful 40 cm diameter professional telescope in the Teide National Park.
At over 2300m of altitude where the sky is among the clearest and darkest in the world, you will be able to see live objects such as galaxies, nebulae, the moon and the planets of the solar system and learn all their secrets.
Unlike other agencies in the area that offer "mass" tours of this type, with small groups of people it will be possible to interact better and explain this wonderful science in detail, and I will also be able to answer any questions thanks to my experience gained in 25 years of collaboration with an astronomical observatory in northern Italy.
I also propose basic and advanced workshops to learn astronomical photography for the most passionate who already know astronomy and want to expand their skills and get more satisfaction in this activity.

My name is Alessandro Marchetti, I have been passionate about astronomy since I was a child and in '95 I started working as a volunteer at the observatory of the Persicetani Astronomers Group in the province of Bologna, in northern Italy.
Over the years I have multiplied my knowledge and had the pleasure of sharing this wonderful science with thousands of people through the telescope. Also in those years I learned the techniques of astronomical photography always keeping up with the latest technologies.
I started when people were still shooting on film with completely manual cameras, the strong passion led me to spend whole nights in the hills where, step by step, I perfected the technique. I recently moved to Tenerife and I want to share my knowledge by taking advantage of one of the best skies in the world.

The host has wealth of knowledge on Astronomy and Astrophotography that he shares every bit of single handedly. We learned so much during this experience that only increased our curiosity. Highly recommended if you want to know and see (using telescope) what is out there in the universe. In addition, we got our pictures taken with a faint Milky Way in the background.

Alessandro's passion is so evident. He's got a wealth of knowledge, that coupled with his awesome telescope and the Teide Mountain location makes for an incredibly memorable experience. We loved it! FYI- bring winter clothing and coats for this experience. The mountain at night is cold. We're from Chicago, IL USA and under estimated how cold it got.

Great experience. Alessandro is very knowledgeable. Besides having access to such a high quality telescope is not common. Tenerife is an amazing place for star gazing. I've never seen so many stars.

The tour exceeded expectations. The experience is amazing! Alessandro is a wonderful storyteller, a real professional and researcher, a very caring guide. In addition to an unforgettable excursion, he brought warm clothes, hot tea and biscuits, also made for us incredible photos...There was a lot of laughter and useful knowledge. Many thanks for your attitude to work!

Amazing tour! Alessandro truly loves what he does and he transmits this to everyone! He is very knowledgeable and thoughtful of everyone: he brought warm jackets, blankets, warm tea and cookies for everyone, took pictures of the group! It’s hard to believe what one can see with his telescope (biggest private telescope on the island compared to other stargazing tours ;) ! I would highly recommend going. Ps, last but not least canaries is the only one of three places in the world where there are very special conditions to see the starts, so if you in canaries , don’t miss it out ;) thanks a lot Alessandro!!!

Esperienza meravigliosa e interattiva! Vivamente consigliato!
