I'm an American-born photo-journalist, photographer/author and professional rock-climber. I've lived in Chamonix for many years. Yet I've lead individuals and groups all over Europe and the US as a tour-guide. Skiing, hiking and climbing remain my passions. Photography my way of expressing it.
I've been hosting my unique walks since 2011.
So bring your camera or phone and let me capture you "in the moment" with a Mini-Photoshoot.

Where you'll be

I'll be showing you a Chamonix that you perhaps would never be able to find on your own during your short stay. I've spent most of my life here exploring the hidden corners of this valley in order to write and illustrate my book and magazine articles. Now it will be my pleasure to show you my own secret Chamonix. This unique and complex valley is also about people. So whenever possible, we'll meet and talk with the local inhabitants.

Teresa made my first visit to Charmonix a dream and an unforgettable experience. She is so friendly, so talented and attractive storyteller besides being a professional photographer who captured candid photos when one is just being himself and unaware of the camera in a beautiful lovely manner giving you one of the best memories that could never be staged. Words are not enough to thank Teresa for this lovely experience. I do recommend her for anyone who wants to live a unique experience in Charmonix

This is a wonderful experience if you want to discover another side of Chamonix that is more than a Ski and mountain resorts and not just only sight seeing. Teresa is a great story teller. Aside from walking you thru to the beautiful village of Chamonix, she is also very helpful and will give advices on your stay, i.e where to eat, where to go etc. She has a vast knowledge of the village including history of it, so this is a good trip if you want to know a little bit more about this village and plus point that she also gives tips on photography.

Incredible experience with Teresa! The energy, passion, kindness and knowledge she has is just an another level. Having an inspiring conversation and listening to her life story in a beautiful landscape are something I would never forget in my life. This experience would be the first thing I would recommend my friends to do when they visit Chanomix.

Teresa's knowledge of Chamonix is truly impressive. From the fascinating history of the town to all of its hidden treasures - she knows them all! She has built trusting relationships with all of the locals and she leverages these to give her clients a glimpse of life in the town as you would never otherwise be able to experience unless you've lived there for decades. Communication was fantastic - she was very responsive and even accommodated last minute schedule changes. I loved her bubbly personality and her thoughtfulness in tailoring recommendations and the route just for me. She even gave me a ride back so that I could be on time for my next appointment! Thank you so much for everything, Teresa!

What to bring

It is very important to be dressed according to the weather forecast at the moment. I'll inform you ahead of time what the weatherman has planned so that you'll know what to bring. In any occasion, please wear good-soled and water-proof walking shoes.
You may be used to walking with walking poles. That is entirely up to you. Poles can certainly come in handy whenever we are on country paths, dry or wet. If you don't own poles, they can be rented in town.
Try to eat a good breakfast - or lunch - before the walk. And bring a bottle of water as we will be out on the terrain for around 3 hours. SUNGLASSES, a cap or hat, sun cream... But also, if the weather is poor, bring along an umbrella, just in case
It is always best to come with a small backpack so that you will be able to PEEL OFF the warm apparel when the sun is too hot and still have the necessary clothing for when the sun goes down or behind the clouds and the temperatures drop. The backpack w
