Go to this experience. Mazi is friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable. The experience itself is too notch. First a history of the hows and whys of graffiti in the hip-hop culture. The self-reflection and then creation of your own tag is challenging but so, so fun. We were two adults and two teenagers, all of us had a blast. This was pretty far outside of what we would normally do on a vacation, but it is so worth it.

The graffiti workshop with Mazi is a lot of fun and challenging to keep you on your feet. I had the opportunity to do some soul searching for names / styles associated with graffiti. I’m not a graphic artist/painter by any means and this workshop pushed me out of my comfort zone. I had to circle back to geometry to use a large wall space to practice some graffiti. I highly recommend Mazi and this graffiti workshop.

This workshop is AWESOME! Can’t remember the last time I’ve had such a creative charge. The workshop is structured and balanced between history off the movement, what makes graffiti graffiti, great storytelling and practical hands on. Amazing value and all in support of a great organization. Highly recommend!

Had an awesome time learning about the history of graffiti in DC from Asad. A living legend in the DC graffiti scene, he was a great instructor and shared lots of stories throughout the experience. At the end we felt we knew way more about what graffiti writing means, and got some pointers on our own art. Highly recommended!

We absolutely loved this. Had the kids 14, 10 and 5 years old and everyone including the adults had a rich and wonderful experience that makes us look differently at graffiti now. Excellent and fun instruction. Highly recommend.
