What you'll do

In this magical "HALF-DAY" Cenote Experience from Cancun (Staying in Playa del Carmen? It's OK, ask me!) you will get to visit 2 very different types of cenotes WITHOUT CROWDS, 100% GUARANTEED! Perfect for groups, families with kids & couples. PLUS..we are always back at 11am, this means you will still have a FULL day to enjoy the beach or anything else after my trip!!!

We visit a fun & adventurous pond-like cenote that is lost in the middle of the jungle about one hour away and then a mystical cave-like cenote with unbelievably crystal-clear water perfect for snorkeling the depths of the earth. This trip is a "have fun in the water trip". However swimming is NOT required at all. Your can: swim, snorkel, float, ride water zip-lines and do "leaps of faith" (high jumps and jumping into holes in the earth) if you wish OR just stay dry and relax on the edge taking breath taking pictures. We are allowed 30 min in each cenote, please be respectful of these time limits.

*NOTE: A local community entry fee of $45 US dollar -PER PERSON- is NOT INCLUDED in this Airbnb's price.*

All my AIRBNB experiences are 100% hosted by a Mexican host (me!). Want to try SCUBA DIVING check my other tour: www.airbnb.com/experiences/232775

Where you'll be

We will visit 2 unique cenotes, BEFORE they are open to the public, located deep in the Mayan jungle and hear as it is waking up.

I have personally hand-picked these because they are very representative of what cenotes are. There are over 2,500 cenotes and a handful of tourist traps. This is the best alternative if you want to explore authentic and beautiful cenotes off the beaten path. INTERESTED IN A PRIVATE TRIP, let me know!

Amazing experience! Santiago was timely, friendly, educational and professional all at the same time! Great historical information - he doesn't just make stuff up like many tour guides do. That was really important to me. I love that he works with the local communities to offer early access. Make sure to read all the great info he sends to maximize your experience! Be early/follow his directions/ask questions ahead of time so you can really *live in the moment* and enjoy these beautiful natural features!!! Also we made a new friend on the experience who happened to be staying in the same condo complex, how crazy is that?

This was an amazing excursion for my friend and I as we were looking to find ways to celebrate U.S. Thanksgiving this year and honor indigenous peoples and this experience helped us achieved that! We had the great pleasure of experiencing both and open and closed Cenotes and both experiences were beyond my expectations. I would highly recommend those who are visiting Cancun to add this to their itinerary. It is well worth the money.

Our trip to 2 Cenotes was an awesome experience with a unique perspective of a open and closed cenote. Santiago even had scuba gear for us, so we could see the sights underwater. He was a wonderful host, giving us history on the way and back from our trip. Thanks Santiago!!

Indeed a very magical and special visit to the cenotes. Santiago (our guide) is extremely knowledgeable of the area and the cenotes, he was also very helpful and patient. We went to two different types of cenotes where there is something for everyone. You can just lie in the water and chill, or enjoy high jumping boards and zipline. Snorkling and watching the stalegtite extending to the bottomless cenote was definitely a highlight for me.

Wow! This was one of the most unique experiences I have ever been on! You really won’t want to miss this. Santiago is a great host that will take yo u to very beautiful and different Cenotes to make sure you get the full experience of these Cenotes. He personalized the trip with stories and how he helps the local communities that have the Cenotes, which makes the experience that much more enjoyable. He was punctual, made sure everything was taken care of, helped take pictures, and made sure all we had to do was just sit back and enjoy. I would highly recommend this to anyone, the experience is well worth it! Book now!

Santiago was amazing!! He was very communicative so we didn't have any doubts on the meeting location or what to expect.Santiago is super friendly and well informed on the history and science behind the cenotes. The cenote tour itself was perfect. We had the whole cenote to ourselves, and we went to 2! The crowds started coming in right as we were done and leaving, so it was perfect. If you don't mind waking up early, this is the perfect experience for you and your partner or a couple of friends. I highly recommend!
