What you'll do

The experience kicks off on the Thonburi side of the river, formerly the capital of Thailand. You’ll follow us and cycle along through winding alleys Jam packed with stalls selling Thai goods. Here you’ll stop and get a chance to browse the enticing food stalls brimming with local produce.

Then, you’ll continue cycling through a vibrant mix of local Thai communities, stopping at interesting temples along the way, where Jam will talk about Buddhism and the history of the local communities.

Next, relax with some lunch at a canal side restaurant, where you can take in the scenery and eat a delightful local Thai meal.

Once you’re refreshed, learn more about Bangkok’s history as you cycle along the canal and green areas of Bangkok, completing your journey at a canal side market where the bikes are loaded onto a long tail canal boat.

On the canal boat you’ll see the canal-side life-style with its colourful scenery and the local canal-side communities. If you’re lucky you might get a glimpse of an Asian Water Monitor sunning itself on the banks of the river. The tour concludes at your original departure point.
Other things to note
You'll be riding on comfortable bikes with suspension. A helmet is provided on this cycle of Bangkok so you can enjoy a safe ride with us.

We will take plenty of photos and will send you a link to download them.

I’m Jam and with my boyfriend Paul we run this experience - I do the guiding and he makes sure that the bikes work! Together we’ve cycled all over the world but the backstreets and lesser trodden paths of Thailand will always be where our heart is as this is where we met.

I have run cycling experiences around Bangkok and Thailand for many years. I studied Thai history at university and will talk about the history of the places you visit.

Cycle with us in Bangkok and you’ll see many hidden gems and local sights that you can only really appreciate on two wheels.

Sometimes we also need a holiday too or we might be on another tour on those days the tours will be hosted by our friends Woody and Mr Jobe,

Where you'll be

You'll get to discover Bangkok off the beaten track. Exploring the less well known East side of the city. You’ll bike through narrow alleyways and small side streets, visiting local temples. Have a delicious Thai lunch at a canal-side restaurant, then explore the last of the green Bangkok as we cycle through a coconut farm. We then load the bikes on a boat and take a trip on traditional teak boat along Bangkok’s breath-taking canals.

This tour was such a nice experience. We explored areas of Bangkok that were very interesting and new for me. We also visited some Buddhist temples and took a ride in a boat in one of the canals. The tour guide was so thoughtful and made me feel safe while riding in the streets on Bangkok. We crossed some old style neighbourhood. I had a taste at the market food. I think this is a great tour during these times were we need to ensure social distancing. I recommend it to people that would like to explore more of Bangkok! 🤗

Jam and Paul offer a great tour through parts of Bangkok you’d never experience on your own. Jam provides really interesting local insight and stories. They keep their bikes well-maintained, provide helmets, and plan plenty of water stops to stay hydrated (you’ll need every one of them too!). I took a tumble off my bike during the ride, and Jam and Paul were ready to provide first aid and extra bike gloves. We’ve already recommend this tour to friends!

We had a wonderfull trip with our three boys (8, 6 and 2 years old). Jam, Paul and another lovely guy did really everything to make sure that everyone was fine. Both our bikes and those of the children were of very good quality and adjusted to fit perfectly. Even the childseat and helmets were available. We saw glittering temples and the tallest Buddha in Bangkok, colourful markets, very narrow paths (nearly through people's houses), green lushery and many more. Every now and then we stopped for a little snack or a lovely picture or to feed the fish :-) The lunch was delicious and they bought even some ice cream for our children (it was very hot, so this refreshment was very welcome). We only can agree with all the good reviews before, it was even better than expected. Additionally, we can assure you that this tour is absolutely child friendly! Thank you very much for this memorable trip.

Wow what a unique experience! We had a blast cruising around the backroads and alleyways of Bangkok. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for some adventure, exercise, history, and food in one action packed morning. This is not something you could just do on your own, Jam and Paul have taken the time to share their passion of biking and knowledge of the area and it is worth every penny. I want to ride a bike around every new city I visit now!
