What you'll do

We start in the hood with the highest bike ridership in North America, at a half 3rd wave coffee shop, half bike refurbishing shop.

We'll head through the Plateau to the foot of the mountain park before cruising down to catch over a dozen works of mural art in the borough with the highest concentration of artists. Works range from 2-9 storeys tall!

Off to the entertainment district where the biggest festivals out there take centre stage before checking out the waterfront from a hidden spot by the port.

Next is the Gaybourhood. Lively, wild, a pedestrian mall all summer long great for people watching. The main strip houses art installations, music performances and great drag bars.

Picnic in a local park with a craft beer is next because... always.

Last bit we pedal by typical streets with baroque balconies, winding staircases, mansarded roofs and beautiful green alleyways.

We'll hit up a few more parks before we get back to the shop to share with you a list of recommendations for craft beer, local designer shopping, COOL art galleries and the best food. The essentials of travel, quoi.
Other things to note:
Make sure you bring a bottle of water and dress appropriately, sunscreen wouldn't hurt!

I co-founded Spade & Palacio tours 5 years ago and have been working in the tourism industry for 10. I wanted to show guests an intimate small group experience, taking them beyond the regular tourist haunts. I work regularly with travel journalists and filming crews showcasing beautiful Montreal through the eyes of a local. Our guests are our new friends we show around town, a town we just happen to know a lot about. Fellow guides and I are Montreal snobs and rightfully so :) We're a tight team of locals proud of the city.

We'll be biking to and from the best spots of each neighbourhood we visit. Some hidden back alleyways will be covered, lunch will be in a park where no tourists visit and our coffee shop serves excellent coffee and food to hang out in on other days of your stay.

Wonderful experience. We had a walking tour (with someone else) the day before, which was OK. This experience was so much better, as we were able to spend time in a wider variety of areas, and we got a sense of the city from a resident who clearly loves the area and wants to show his passion.

This was a great tour. Really felt the love and passion that the host had for the city. The street art part of the tour was definitely our favourite, and would love to go on their street art tour at some point. Worth every penny

Daniel was an excellent guide and had a real passion for Montreal and all the unique locations he brought us to. Well worth the time and money. Thank you!

This is a great bike tour. Our guide gave us information that we carried throughout the rest of our time in Montreal, giving us recognition of certain artists' work on the streets and noticing the green alleyways and understanding their importance. The worst part was when it ended!

This is a great tour! It left us with some good knowledge to use during the rest of our stay in Montreal and was fun and informative.

If you want to have a unique way to see a lot of Montreal with a very informative and fun guide, this is the ride for you. We never could have covered the distance walking and Danny had so much good information about the neighborhoods and especially all the wall art that we were lucky to see and have explained to us, even though that is a separate tour. I highly recommend this to anyone who likes to do things that not everyone else is doing during their visit to Montreal.
