What you'll do

We will bake fruit, lavender and berry scones, and spelt or brown bread.
I will bake on my side of the video, while the guest will bake at the same time at their place. Im going to do all the baking step by step with them.
I believe in the hands on experience for my guests - from handling ingredients to kneading dough.
It isn't all about the cooking, I share lots of tips from my experience over the years.
I love to see the faces full of excitement and joy at the sight of the end product - freshly baked scones and bread.
And best of all we have lots of fun.

I am a restauranteur with busy cafe and luckily work close to home. I live in an area of natural beauty and really enjoy walking, hiking and exploring. I look forward to sharing my knowledge of local history with my guests. I love the natural cycle of my garden and while away many happy hours there. I do hope my guests will enjoy its beauty. I enjoy entertaining, meeting new people as well as yoga, dancing and the outdoors. I hope you will like in the West half a much as I do. x Kate

I gave this class to my dad for Christmas - he’s not a big baker. He had a blast learning. Kate was great at showing him what to do and how to have fun baking. Both the bread and scones came out delicious!

Baking with Kate was fantastic! Not only was it a treat as a same-birthday celebration for us (Aunt/niece), Kate was a very good teacher and hilarious. She kept checking how we were doing by requesting to re-angle our camera (!) and she regularly showed us her progress so we’d know what it should look like. Her recipes were simple, easy to follow and they worked! We and our family ate everything over a few days. Not to mention Kate’s kitchen and pottery were just gorgeous. It was such a relaxing, fun experience.

I had a lovely 1:1 experience with Kate. The Scone and Bread recipes were simple but end products were Yummy. Kate gave me tips to use different flours and seeds to enhance the recipes. Looking forward to learn more from Kate.
