I am Luz Balaguera, I am Colombian and I have been a Spanish Teacher for Foreigners for over 4 years. I like not only to teach Spanish, but also culture and ways in which students can function in our society through Spanish.
I love to talk in class about the history of our country, about food, about music and dancing, so I not only guarantee that you will learn a lot of Spanish, but I also offer real contact with our country.
I have also learned that all students have different learning processes, so I use different resources in my classes and offer constant contact with local people to put into practice what we learn in class.

So amazing, she goes into great detail about learning Spanish, I would recommend her 1000% to anyone interested in learning Spanish language. Although our Spanish lessons were in person I will continue classes with her via the Internet..

I really enjoyed the custom course which involves some of the finer details of the culture for someone with an intermediate level of Spanish

Overall a very pleasant and friendly experience. Luz was highly patient and attentive to my needs as a student. Also as a fluent Latino American Spanish speaker myself (humbly speaking), I’d figure I could use some more formal and advanced grammatical lessons, since I’d often get stuck or confused in my conversations with the locals of Bogotá. I was impressed by how many blind spots in my Spanish comprehension she was able to address in the amount of time we had. Discussions on the local culture, touristic scenery, and the characteristics of Colombia and its people were a bonus. Luz likewise would be a fantastic resource for a first time Spanish speaker, and as such, I would highly recommend her.
