What you'll do

When you arrive at our beautiful urban farm, you will be greeted by a fuzzy spoiled crew of rescued llamas and alpacas. Take a moment to photograph them or take selfies. Walk down through our garden, down a stone lined path and enter the magical world of camelids, bamboo, and listen to the sound of the fountain at the center of the courtyard. To your left, you'll take in the gorgeous barn with 1900s barn doors, enter the beautiful space. The barn is so beautiful and is built from reclaimed barn wood, a pre civil war stained glass windows, old beams, old doors and windows. It is mostly glass so you can see the bamboo forest, the alpacas, the llamas. Just beyond the bamboo is the treehouse.

Lanise Shortell will then greet you and ground you. She will take you through the most zen, magical yoga experience. Soak in the magic and mystery of the place as you unwind both your body and soul.

Several psychics have said that this is sacred ground. Experience it for yourself.
Other things to note
Please bring your mat, a happy outlook, your water, and a towel.

Kara runs the famous Atlanta Alpaca Treehouse in the Bamboo Forest and is the keeper of the rescued animals on site: llamas, alpacas, ducks, bunnies, chickens, dogs and cats. She loves sustainability and was building "green" with reclaimed pallets and architectural antiques before it was cool. The llamas and alpacas on site are deeply loved and spoiled and they've come out of their shells!

Lanise is our wonderful talented yoga instructor. She's also a Registered Nurse and an advocated for mind, body, and spiritual health of all. She enjoys the diverse and fun community of Yogis all around Atlanta.

This is a wonderful and unique restorative yoga class with the opportunity to feed llamas! I would definitely recommend this. The class was held in an enclosed area with heaters on but I get cold very easily. So if you are thinking about doing this experience and also get cold easily, bring socks and a sweater. I thought it was a bit cold in the enclosed area. Otherwise it was wonderful!!!

Such a charming experience! A must if you’re visiting Atlanta. Very COVID-conscious as well, the yoga instructor is also a pediatric nurse. Since the weather was nice, the yoga class was outside without masks. Thankfully not intense power yoga and I appreciated the stretches under the blue sky and majestic pines. We were also provided baby carrots to feed the lamas and alpacas, who were all so sweet!

This was truly an AMAZING experience!!! I would rate it 10 out of 5 if I could. From the much needed, rejuvenating yoga to being able to spend time with the llamas and alpacas to the beautiful scenery to the super kind host. It honestly felt like we were on another world for a second. The yoga was great, the llamas were so friendly and adorable. I throughly enjoyed every second and recommend EVERYONE to try this place out. Definitely coming back, I wish I lived in ATL to make this a more routine visit. The only thing I would have changed was having more carrots to feed the llamas 😆.

If you’re looking for enlightenment, look no further. Llama yoga epitomizes the innate connection between animals and humans. Dalai llama was the perfect fluffy companion while instructor Kelly led us through a revitalizing yin practice. Llamaste my friends🙏🏼

This was the very serene yoga experience I needed. The animals were so sweet and had so much personality. The practice was very gentle and it was a lot of fun to do yoga in the presence of such beautiful animals.
